Which Simpsons episodes are better?

Season 10 and older
Or anything after season ten

I say the older ones myself, but I wanted to see everyone's opinion. I think one of my favorite lines was:
Homer: Hey Lisa, want a doughnut? Lisa: Ewww, you got any fruit? Homer: Ummm, I got purple, purple's a fruit. Lisa: Ugghhh.
And:
Ewww, Mountain Dew, I'll take a crab juice!!!

by far 1-10. to me the episodes got stedily worse after about the year 2000. I really enjoy the old episodes, and Iv played and liked a few of the games. as far as Im conserned the Simpsons is dead now. I dont even waste my time watching it anymore. the simpsons movie was the one good thing they have done in like 10 years. I think they had to save all their remaining good jokes for that one movie. I mean face it, the simpsons have done everything! its time to end it and stick to futerama.

and dont think Im just a family guy fanboy and simpsons hater, the simpsons came out the year I was born, I grew up with the simpsons and I loved it. but like I said, as far as Im concerned, the show ended 10 years ago.

it's no secret the simpsons has gone dry in comparrison. The beginning of a series is almost always better than the latter episodes.

I like all of them.

The older ones have their nostalgia and classical feel over them, but the new ones are great too. You gotta keep up with the times.

For example that episode when the Simpsons males get into a residential fight with president Bush (not George. W, but the even older one). Hilarious as it might be it just doesn't work as well as it did back then.

Season 1 - 10. Though, It might be better but it still is awful. Only reason I like it is because it's where Seth McFarlane got a lot of his ideas.

LOL at firis' find i don't know which are better since i don't know the difference between the seasons except the quality of it. But yes jokes eventually are used up and the simpsons movie was great, but aslong it can get a laugh it's on my favorite *very small* tv shows since there nothing much better to find on tv :P

true...i'd say all of the pop animated tv show comedies got their inspiration from it....south parks episode "the simpsons already did it" where butters tries to come up with diabolical schemes that the simpsons already did.......classic :lol:

That was uncalled for, not to mention offensive. What does it matter what his sexual preference is? I dont want any more insulting comments about that on these boards otherwise infractions will be added.

South Park is real good, I think its quality remains, you cant lose or gain quality when its random toilet humor/offensiveness... Its good, Family Guy I think is losing its luster, though its still real good, they need to show more Stewie, hes the main reason I watch it...

Family Guy before cancelled - Highly offensive
Shortly after returning - Kept it down, not to offensive.
Family Guy season 7 - Been funny/offensive and degrading.

If anything, it's getting funnier now.

yeah, old simpsons is definetly great, I love that stonecutters episode. but what Im really sick of is hearing that family guy is copying off them. EVERYONE copies the simpsons. just like south park said, the simpsons have already done it. and the simpsons once said something along the lines of "if we arent allowed to take ideas from other shows, where the hell are our ideas supposed to come from?"

i think family guy is starting to lose its touch though, they need to cut the crap and be edgy and offencive agian. no more repeat jokes like cleavland falling out of his house, and conway twitty. and bring back the diobolical matricidal maniac side of stewie. not this mabey he is, mabey is isnt gay crap. its funny, but evil stewie that sometimes does gay things would be much better. bring back the evil!

No offense or anything, but I NEVER really liked family guy, it's just a bunch of lame fart jokes, lame sex jokes and references, and other small stuff that just fails, the only reason I would watch it is for Stewie, and Peter's lack of brainpower.

I just think that Family GUy continues jokes that are funny, for too long, which quickly makes them unfunny, like a parody that is 45 seconds but almost the same thing... Like with musical parodies, they are boring, I like Stewie, Quagmire (Whichever the giggidy one is) and that one retarded horse that Peter bought.
