Who still plays?

How many people here actually still play TLC? There's never really too much talk about it, so I'm fairly curious.

I definitely still play. In fact, I'm about to go start a new game right now! :D

Re: Who still plays?

To be honest I have never played TLC. Am I missing much by not playing it? The lack of achievements in that game make it less likely for me to play it also. Unless I could move my existing Fable data into that game and just continue, not sure I will ever get it. I got pretty upset in the original game because I always wanted to go back and finish the undone side quests. The only thing is I'm stuck, after I beat the game it saved at the ending quest where you start in the destroyed guild and have to fight JoB indefinitely.

P.S: What new game?

Re: Who still plays?

When I say TLC, I just mean Fable 1. I do like the additions that they made to create TLC, though. I'd say it's worth getting, especially because it's pretty cheap now.

If you let the credits roll, you can keep playing after you beat Jack.

I just meant I was starting another game on TLC, starting from the beginning again.

Maybe I'll try it on PC this time.

oh ok. :)

Re: Who still plays?

haven't in years, don't even know where my copy went.

i overplayed it for a while, let me just check my mayan calendar and... hey! i'm scheduled to try it again in 2012!

Re: Who still plays?

I've played through it about 6 times and I still play it whenever I get the chance.

Re: Who still plays?

I must be missing something and if I appear to be rude, sorry Thats not my intention, but what's the point of playing a game through so many times? I can see a few times to maybe better grasp the storyline, see if you can beat your previous record. Or maybe I just don't like the game as much as I thought I did. Help me to understand ;_; lol.

Re: Who still plays?

I have some spare MS Points lying around, having accidentally bought 500 points twice (cursed Xbox live connection), so I was thinking about downloading it on Xbox live, but then I realised that for some unholy reason the only put the ORIGINAL on there. WHY!?!

Re: Who still plays?

I still play FTLC now and then, as much as once a week, although not for hours at a time anymore. I still rate it as my favorite game of all time.
To Aristo: It can be played differently each time, you can be good, evil, or neutral. You can do every quest, or leave some undone. You can play using only the weapons you got at the end of guild training. You can play without using any magic, or only use magic. I could go on for hours, lol. It is a matter of personal preference like any game I guess. Also, in TLC you play to the fight with Jack where the guild gets burned, then the content is new and you get almost a second game from it.

I have an honest love for the setting, music, and feel. I can't play it enough.

Re: Who still plays?

I understand, if their is a big difference in the storyline I'd like to try it too then. No matter how much I love a game, once I have beaten it, it's usually pretty hard for me to want to replay it. If there are side quests I left unfinished that's another story. I didn't know TLC continues that way, i'm going to buy it tomorrow. This clears some things up for me.

I know exactly how you feel, that's why I like Final Fantasy so much also. I'm the same way with books; I only like reading books that have a medevil like setting to them, very rarely do I find something out of that area that I like.

Personally, I can play a game through many, many times, even something that's not Fable. However, Fable gives you the option of being a completely different character each time you play through the game, as jwc said. This is the reason I've beaten them both 24 times each (and counting).

Re: Who still plays?

I've tried to play a different role, but the game just isn't fun if I'm not making my own decisions.

Re: Who still plays?

I still play it on a major basis of my daily activities! Just got TLC for my computer so that I won't have to wait for my XBOX to return from repairs...

Personally, Fable 2 was never better than TLC, especially when it comes to the FUN factor. Oh sure, Fable 2 had tons more stuff, but it still was much funnier playing TLC... Where else can you insult the cute round earth trolls and the small, annoying hobbes with the word 'sh*t'!

Re: Who still plays?

I play it no and then just not on the PC anymore. I went and bought it on amazon to play on my xbox and play it every now and then. I miss playing it on the PC tho :(

I guess you like these games a little bit huh? 24 times is like a world record.

Re: Who still plays?

I'll be back to playing Fable: TLC again as soon as my new PC build is finished. I'm actually very much looking forward to it. :)

Re: Who still plays?

I'm going to play it again with a week or two!
