Alright not everyone here is a US citizen, but that doesn't mean you can't give your two cents. If you have an opinion let's hear it. We're still in the primaries, but it's not too late to say which party or candidate you're looking for.

The last time we talked about this when Obama was just elected things turned ugly. Play nice.

Out of the republicans I'm very fond of Ron Paul. If he doesn't win I'm going to vote of 'bama but if it comes down to Ron Paul vs Obama, Ron Paul is getting my vote. For the record I'm a registered democrat.

I lost a lot of faith in Obama after hearing that the martial law bill was written at the request of his administration. They "shut down" Guantanamo and tried to make others look bad for what they really wanted to do. This kind of two-faced politics and being very secretive from the media makes me very distrustful of them. I think any reluctance I have to criticize them comes from how much they've done to protect their image.

Ron Paul on the other hand is the opposite of two-faced. He says right out what he plans to do, and believes in protecting physical liberties. Though he is pro-life, he would not ban abortion because he believes in everyone's right to handle that issue in accordance to their personal beliefs. He will pull us out of all countries we occupy. My only worry is his economic policy, but I believe that he's a smart enough man to realize if he's made a mistake. He's been steadily rising in the polls and now he's practically going head to head with the front runner, Mitt Romney. The other Republican candidates terrify me.

What are your thoughts?

I don't understand American things like this - I don't get the differences between the parties and stuff. I also get the feeling Americans care more about their politics than Brits do; I mean, I vote and all but I don't get funny with people who vote differently to me (unless they go for BNP and then it's a principle thing).

So there's democrats, republicans...anyone else?

Ron Paul is the only one worth voting for. I don't necessary agree with some of his economic libertarian ideals, but there are so many things that he could do right. He has some big plans to save the government's money and stop all this reckless spending, and one of the biggest ways he wants to do that, as Cheez said, is to get us out of all other countries, meaning places like South Korea and some European countries, along with the middle east of course. He also wants to stop the war on drugs, legalize all narcotics, and shut down the Federal Reserve. He's a damn fine man for the job. Plus, he's not your typical politician. When you watch the debates he's in with the other Republicans, you can very easily see what I'm talking about. All the others will just avoid questions and spew propaganda out of their mouths, but not Ron, oh no. He's very direct, and he verbally rapes all the other candidates in debates because he knows what he's talking about, and they don't. You can see in this video that I'm posting that Romney doesn't know the answer to the question he's being asked, so he just tries to give his positions on various issues that he relates to the topic, but then he gets backed into a corner and starts to squirm. Then, Ron Paul swoops in and directly answers the question in about 30 seconds after Romney's three minute long bullshit speech.

He's not 100% perfect, but I always thought a candidate like him actually having a chance at winning would be too good to be true.

Oh, also, this guy might be pretty good:

Legalize all narcotics? That's messed up. The only thing that should be legal is the "natural stuff"; all that heavy chemically produced crap like meth would do serious harm if it was legalized. Have you seen what it does to people?

Nah, if it doesn't grow out in the field it shouldn't be legalized.

I wanted to vote for Huntsman, but you know..... campaign suspended... but for now, I'm voting for Ron Paul because he doesn't want to take away the working rights of prostitutes in Nevada. Legal brothels ftw.

It wasn't really a complete or accurate description of his feelings on the issue. If you want to skip the entertaining explanation he doesn't believe anything of the sort should be illegal on a federal level, but should be left as a states issue. Also a good point for what would probably happen if a state decided that heroin should be legal.

Like it was posted earlier, there really are only the two dominant parties. There are cases of people winning running for other parties, but it's extremely rare. Really it just comes down to watching the candidates and praying there's someone who you can get behind this year. As far as Americans and our obsession with politics, I wouldn't believe that we care more than you lot for a second. It seems like every time a politician f's you in the a there's mass protest and defamation. As I've come to understand it, the British are the first to criticize the people in office. The issue with Nick Clegg and university fees comes to mind.

In the US we're better at sitting idly until it's too late. Then we do something massive that's long past due like Occupy Wall Street.

We have to seriously sort out the education system before we do any legalising of anything. People need to have the ability to know what's bad for them and why, then if they want to accept the risks, they can. Otherwise it's just irresponsible governing, and doesn't get anyone anywhere.

I like Ron Paul but I don't trust it.

George W. was the texan Republican everyone dreamed of a total ****head. After him the parties image was scarred though they don't like to admit it. I didn't fall for Obama, the complete other side of the spectrum. He's Kenyan not black, and half that anyways. His policies are exactly the same as George's and calls his complete lies the evolution of his policies.

So every party has been milked and duped, straight down to the ethnics and retarded college youth.

So people see now that both parties are fictitious and the battle isn't left or right but upwards and down.

Now we have a whole new subclass of truthers who are awake to the pandering and honestly it would be a perfect time to pull that card which brings me to my conclusion that Ron Paul seems like the perfect president he's who I'd vote for, almost has a no bullshit attitude speaks blatant truth bravely. Seeing that every other candidate seems retarded...

I'm not going to vote I don't see much hope in it.

I do have some sort of fatal attraction to Michelle Bachman though don't know what it is..
