Although I come from Manchester which is firmly in Britain, I don't like tea, nor am I excessively polite, plus did I mention I'm also a Republican? (as in against the idea of Monarchy, not the american party) so yeah...F*** the Queen brah!! (< bet I'm on some sort of list now for saying that.)

I hates fish & chips & full english breakfasts. I hate umbrellas and I don't own one. I hate beer gardens, I don't talk about the weather and if you ask me I will rape your soul with nothing but my eyes. I don't own a British bulldog or any other dog. I do have bad teeth but **** you.
I don't hate the French their women are hot and so is their porn, the Germans are not my enemy. I'm not a snob or formal, I hate Jeremy kyle I hope a chav knocks his face down his throat. I don't read newspapers, I hate roast dinners, I sit on the toilet with the door open.
I hate beer & lager I mostly prefer cider, and no the beer isn't warm or watered down its rather refreshing, I yawn without covering my mouth, if anyone smiles at me I'd most likely grumble at them. I don't own a walking stick but if I did I'd just hit you with it across your stupid head, I hope the queen falls down the stairs at her big fancy ****ing palace & dies. It doesn't rain every day!

And no god dammit most British stereotypes don't apply to me because I'm from Liverpool, and I hate queues & I hate you too.

On a semi-serious note, I don't think we have enough of our own culture any more to know what being British means. My guess is that it's evolved into something quite different to what the traditional stereotypes would have others believe...
That said, fish and chips beats all other takeaway hands down and there's nothing more awesome than our obsession with having a phone number to call for every possible eventuality that ever did, does or will exist at some point.

The funny thing is I actually recognise some places from the video.
Id probably agree there, I eat more foreign foods than I do British foods for example & dislike Crumpets (as the stereotype goes). I do like Tea but only really drink it in the evening, prefer coffee in a morning & couldnt care less about the monarchy or government so think that counts me out.
The forum has changed my stereotypes of British folks completely. Now they're religious (compliments of Angel) drunks (compliments of Drakan) who get really ****ed and start bashing the US if you call them British. (I forget who that was, but it was certainly an unfun conversation.)
While I'm not religious or drunk... just think of me as a modern day Artful Dodger.

Guess some people dont like being generalised. I mean they think nothing of it when its being used as a general term such as 'British developers' , 'British Actors' , 'British Singers' as that is meant to cover all nationalities in the UK in one term. Id imagine its when individuals are described as being British when they prefer to be known by their actual nationality (Scottish, Irish, English & Welsh) rather than being seen as a collective & lumped with everyone else. For example a lot of Scots have been trying to get away from being associated with the UK for some time & go independant. I know a few Scots that dont like being called British & if you called them British they would say 'F*** Britain we are Scottish & proud' then probably throw in an insult about the English for good measure. :lol:
Like this thread, should technically be called Who's the English of the English if it is referring to the Tea & Crumpets stereotype. As Scotland, Ireland & Wales are nothing to do with that sort of thing & all have their own stereotypes far removed from ours.
