yahtzee had no input on why i hate jrpg's,(though he pretty much hits the nail on the head) i started to hate them when i played FF7 inb4:

I hate all turn based combat games. That is personally my beef with final fantasy. That and it and many other older games make me think too hard, I should have to think very hard. It makes it boring.

Really? You think I'm gonna sit there while some guy tries to mug me and be like "alright, you attack me first, then if I live, I'll attack you, then we'll keep going until one of us dies"? No! I'm gonna get in as many attacks as I can before he can attack me.

A I kinda like the wings idea, as long as they are optional. the ability to fly would be nice too.

@Aions: If you see the dev diary it is only used when you press a button.
The don't appear when you are just random slaugthering.

I'm not sure about the part in the dev diary where you can see trough the wings on your back, but I'm sure that is only when you are doing something special like a quest or when you do something bad to a person. (with the personal touch thing)

Anywho, I think I actually like it. They look a little odd... but overall, pretty cool. And if you don't want to pop them out... don't.

And the game in general looks awesome.

But what about the part where he clearly states that you don't have to have them on all the time, you just push a button to whip them out.
