WTF is this????

so, i put a disc in my 360, and it sounds like a ****ing lawn mower! i can feel it vibrating through the freaking floor!!!! what the hell? help please!

Is your xbox standing upright or laying down? And check the disc condition, my brother gave my WaW disc the perfect circle and everytime I play that game it sounds like an ice grinder.

Make sure the disc is flat... lie it down on a table to check.
Make sure its inserted properly.
Make sure there isn't an earthquake in the area and you are mistaken as to the problem being the xbox.

I really dont know, does it happen with any other disks or just that one and if other disks also reproduce the problem I would seek Microsoft Support.

thanks for the tips. its quieted down now, but its still a bit louder than normal. i just got CoD 4 new and when i put it in it did that. its not so bad now, at the start i though it would expload.
