I'd like to know.. seeing if mines going real slow or quick.

But I'm over a wireless network and I generally get 10-40 on a good day.

Wow.. Haha And I thought my Connection was quick.. I mean I have no problem loading videos e.g. Youtube and downloading songs on limewire takes me about 20-30 seconds (4 Minute long songs on average) but wow.. Im doing crap haha

Your maximum download speed (as said on your ISP-To-Customer-contract) / 10 is a good / normal speed.

I have 8mb/its down, and 893 kb/its down with torrent.

I don't know exactly how fast my broadband connection is but I used to get terrible speeds with most torrent downloads - even well-seeded ones. Guess things have come a long way since I used to use Torrent programs.

Congrats on getting a Mac by the way - a Macbook Pro is definitely my next big buy. I wish my current laptop would hurry up and die so I could justify buying a Mac now.

I don't even know, my connection speed is up and down like a pros... I'm not going to finish that statement. Anywho, if you are using torrents, then it all depends on the seed/leech factor. Sometimes I get up to 200kb/s, then sometimes as low as 10kb/s. And then sometimes my net is just so slow it doesn't want to work. Right now I screwed up my iPod, and my connection sucks so much right now that the download times out. Tried to download it ill... I mean completely legitimately, and an unknown error occurs. Wow, get an iPod Touch and it is stuck in restore mode. Damn. I'll give it a few hours, see if things speed up. Usually long periods of connected time get me a fast connection going. It disconnects from time to time. :lol:

EDIT: Here. My god that is a pathetic connection. Praying this is just because I am using a shatty wireless adapter and that my router is 2 floors down. I'll be moving my computer soon though. Direct connection FTW.
