yeah, firefox plugins are the way to go. i use a script for a plugin called greasemonkey that ads a download link to every page.

going through the process of putting my selected youtube vid on my mp3 player is still quite the task; even when using this program:
download vid>convert to quick time> convert QT in to AVI>load on to mp3 player <- that takes close to an hour with my **** computer ... for one vid

Well YouTube Downloader also converts the video in mp3... Play around with it, you will learn a lot of it's handy features.
