Sushi

Anyone else love sushi? I love sushi. If it was a woman, or mermaid, I'd make sweet love to it. At first I thought the mere concept was disgusting but since I had my first piece a way back I'm hooked. The only sad part, and what a tragic twist it is, is that there is only one sushi place where I live and it is downtown. As I don't have a car I can't really just go pick some up. Plus, as they have no competition their prices are downright insane. So it's a friggin' luxury I can't afford most of the time....

I'm the only person in my friend group who likes sushi but all my lady friends love it so I get plenty of lunch dates.

I love sushi, but only at the place I get them from which is also exclusive to downtown. Me and my older sister are the only two in the family who seem to really appreciate these delicacies, but only when prepared properly. I had went to a local sushi shop that closed down years ago, and the sushi rolls were pretty sloppy where it was often not wrapped tightly so it'd fall apart in your hands and make a mess and so on. Not a very good experience. Also, the sushi sold in grocery stores are horrible, which is where most of the people I know buy them from and get their bad impressions of them as a whole. We try to recommend them to the proper places, but they never listen.. well, their loss.

I've had to get gas station sushi on more occasions than I can count.

That's a grade or two lower than even grocery store sushi....

Wonder if you can make your own.

It's strange I never actually got sushi. For some reason, though people around me occasionally eat it.

You can make your own, which is what my sister has been trying to do lately (she lets the internet do all the teaching) so we don't have to keep shelling out all that money anymore. It's honestly not as good as the ones we get downtown, but she's getting there.

Sushi is ok, depends on where you get it. Dont go to a Japanese fast food joint like Edo (any of you have that?) and expect to get good sushi.

I went to a sushi bar in London, and that was when I found out that sushi is raw fish and seaweed lol (It was crap and made me want to throw up !!!!!

I've never had real sushi, only what they try to pass off as sushi in grocery stores. I'd love to try it though, but damn it's expencive!

Yeah, I've had sushi a couple of times, their was an oriental buffet place where they used to serve it, but they stopped doing it after a while and now I can't really find it anywhere else apart from Sainsbury's where it is essesentially just processed crab sticks in rice with an inflated price (I made a rhyme!)

If I see it anywhere I'll definately try some again though.
