A Real Tattered Spire?

Our world isn't much better off than the world of Albion in Fable II. In some sense, our world could do with a Tattered Spire or two, or five.

I'm part of the camp that believes Lucien wasn't really a bad guy. Crazy yes, but obviously he knew what he was doing. He found the Spire, and had knowledge enough to build it up.

What do you all think? If you started seeing that creepy tower outside your window, would you help build it? Work to destroy it? Or just say "big deal", and carry on with your life?

Re: A Real Tattered Spire?

I would research the purpose behind it's building, and how the workers are being treated. I would then decide what to do about it using that knowledge.

Assume that Spire Guards have the collars, and that the workers aren't prisoners but paid laborers.

Also assume that the Spire would be used as Archon was said to have used it - to wipe out the existing world so that a purer one could take its place.

Re: A Real Tattered Spire?

I would work to destroy the spire.

No-one is going to build a tower that can grant wishes unless I approve of it, and I get the wish.

And for your sake

You really don't want me to get that wish.
*I'd be Agent 47 and you'd be my target*

Re: A Real Tattered Spire?

If it is ultimately going to end the world, then I will destroy it.

Re: A Real Tattered Spire?

Well, that depends... what would the fine be for property damage for an object of such magnitude?

Re: A Real Tattered Spire?

The World would be a terrible place of this was real.

Re: A Real Tattered Spire?

yeah, because if it was real... then we'd have a fresh start whenever things got rotten. people would cease to learn how to deal with their own problems and everyone would become a complete irresponsible moron.

besides there would be a horrible bias no matter who decided they wanted to fix everything and use it.

them's devil politics if ya ask me, son.

Re: A Real Tattered Spire?

Shouldn't this be in Fable discussion?

If I saw a big scary Tattered Spire, and it meant the end of the world then of course I'd try and destroy it.

Duh.

I'd be like [insert generic Japanese kung-fu movie phrase here] and go [insert generic Japanese kung-fu movie phrase here] and destroy it.
