Fine. Look at the achievement description then.

Be reborn as Ezio Auditore Da Firenze.

The way it is pronounced is the same as Da. My grandparents are Italian, so I know a lot. It's a misspelling, depending on how you look on it. If Ubisoft intended it to be Da, so be it. The correct version is Di though.

Altair.

Ezio is a whiny little bitch. >_>
Altair plays the "must regain my honor" card, then gets used buy his own...erm guild i guess you would call it in the end... and thoughs long ass talks he has with the people he assassinates while he cradels them in his arms *rolles eyes*

Ezino is killing for revenge, he has a personal vendetta with that that fat guy, then about half way through the game the learns his purpose/why hes killing people and all that...

The backstory and reasoning behind Ezios character is much deeper, more emotional and better explained. Makes you realise just why hes doing it all and gives you a better sense of purpose and makes you feel more involved. Havent got to the end yet as im juggling 3 games in rotation at the moment.

yeah, he wants to kill the people who killed *most* of his family - then he finds out why they killed his family in the first place, still dosent change the fact that he wants revenge

I wasnt debating that i was merely expanding on what you said. ^_^

Re: Altair V Ezio

I think some people are confused.

The question is Altair vrs Ezio? Not "Which AC had better game mechanics?"

Come on people, Altair has trained for years and has been an assassin for years. Ezio did it for, what, a couple months? >_>
Altair would kick his ass.

I still say Ezio as his hand to hand combat is better, hes faster more agile and can master more weapons. Just seems the all round better fighter. Altair is the more experienced assassin and has the better killer edge but Ezio just seems more skilled.

Read my post more carefully. All the things you're explaining are characteristics of the games themselves, not the characters.

Yeah but you cant judge Altairs hand to hand combat skills as he doesnt use any. Might be a game mechanic but cant judge something you havent seen. His combat style seems more rigid and stealth based. Ezio just seems more rash & reckless and up for a straight fight because of his inexperience. Could be seen as a weakness in one aspect however you learn more about Ezio than Altair so can sort of judge his techniques and skills better. Also by one point in the game he says 'Its been ten years since my families murder'. Which indicates by that point he has been doing it 10 years already and by the end of the game (im told as i havent got there yet) he has a beard and has clearly done it a while then.
