Exactly, and for someone to label someone emo just because they are wearing black clothing with a band name on and have dark hair is plain stupid.

It`s actually checkered clothes, tight jeans and shoes like these (and maybe painted fingernails and make-up) that differentiate a subculture emo. I mean, if I don`t want to be called emo, why do I dress like one. On the other hand, why do I must be an emo if all I do is dress like one and nothing more.
And I`m not talking about emo=emotional, because that`s hardly what it is. A friend of mine once stated that almost all the famous writers and musicians have not been completely sane-minded so they were emo - oh god, she was wrong. But I think she was drunk...

Chav: "Gangster" clothing style (Loose jeans that need to be pulled up alot, random shirt and a backwards hat)

^Deeply sexual culture... I don't wear any of that, I usually wear black jeans and a dark colored shirt, I LOOOOOOVE That dark Victorian music style though, its amazing imo... I consider myself Goth, but dress wise I am more of a emo... But the style and idealism is Gothic as a dark labyrinth woth demons and Farnham the drunk...
