The Mothman Prophecies.
Its not bloody or gory, but is scary as all hell. The scary ambience is top-notch, and it is based on real events. The Mothman is quite a celebrity, look him up on Google or somesuch.

Mothman sure is a scary movie, I have to re-watch it sometime soon.
And if you want another great horror movie, look up Drag Me To Hell - has to be one of my favorite horror movies (and it`s funny as hell too)

I wasnt all that impressed by that to be honest. All the reviews claimed it to be this horrifying movie, best horror in years and i thought it was mediocre. I mean the effects were that of a low budget movie/tv series from the 90's.

Well, I didn`t like it because of the horror - it wasn`t that scary, really. It was the humor and the "low-budget" look that was appealing. And I loved it.
