100 rep per rectangle.

The number of rep required per rectangle is different - you need more for the higher up ones.

It's like levelling up in games.

 And no parent should have to pay 150 quid a year to receive a TV signal when almost everything on TV is utter crap anyway. We don't watch TV so we don't need it

Wait, what? Got something against an antenna?

Admittedly, even my family blows money of FiOS these days, but nice, free broadcast TV is still perfectly watchable. That's all we had up until within the last year or so.

Does the UK not have broadcast TV or something?

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

No such thing as free TV in this country - the BBC command a certain amount of money per month for the "privilege" of receiving a signal, whether that be digital or analogue. If you want cable or satellite TV, aside from Freeview (which sucks anyway), then you need to pay a subscription fee to whichever provider you want (namely SKY or something like Virgin) on top of the licence fee. Even if you watch TV on your mobile phone/internet, you have to pay a licence fee. It's stupid really coz they aren't legally allowed in your home without your permission to check you're not lying when you say you don't watch TV...no one's checked up on me since I cancelled the licence but then again we're genuinely not breaking the law so it doesn't matter even if they did.

If you record or watch TV as it's being played, you need a licence. So if you stream on the internet/mobile phone/etc, you gotta pay.

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

The horror. And I thought it was bad they are switching over to digital from June (no analogue anymore), but at least we can watch them for free.
But Im pretty sure you could have free channels too. We only installed the satellite antenna and got some kind of a box and we can see almost 70 channels for free. Of which probably 2 or three are actually worth watching. Most are italian or arabic crap.

Midsummer Murders

I work late during the week, so I don't get to watch much T.V these days. That stuff, and the Hercule Poirot flicks, are the only worthwhile stuff that is on during the weekend.

I'd have to say Fringe or Dexter, John Noble is superb. I also enjoy watching the Investigation Discovery & Nat Geo channels, but there's not many other good shows on TV so I watch most of them on the internet.

Indeed. The Hercule Poirot series they are cyrrently showing on ETV is very good. Too bad that`s about the only channel I can`t see for some odd reason.

Wow. Just wow. I can, vaguely, see where they might get the idea that was a good idea. But holy **** that's dumb.

Even if I'm not all entitled about my free TV.

Where is FableFreak? Why did he stop posting? Does he hate us or something? Did he get AIDS from that hooker in Rio? Is he really a super-computer in North Korea?

Re: Ask The Staff 'Anything'

Who is this mysterious Freak? Does he secretly plot world domination? Does he fight grizzly bears in the nude? Or just brown bears?

Why was that "in the nude" bit neccesary?

The Freak has a life.

Only the Freak knows.

John Noble. I don't really need a reason, do I?

1. Yes, I do have plans for domination of many kinds.
2. Yes, I fight all species of bear. Grizzly, brown, polar, panda, et al.
