I do get the feeling Cl0akD and Grimwhim are still some of the newer arcs (yes, arcs. PEgo is a living story).

Well he didn't really specify how far back, just.. forum memories. If we're going to go farther back then the odd idiot getting banned in foolish ways was usually entertaining. I recall one regular lad by the name of bluecrow... mmm, I don't think I'm gonna forget that one.

That's something I wasn't around yet to see :P. Or when I just wasn't yet in Bowerstone South.

Also: fillers? Have there been memorable, but minor stories, that come inbetween the larger things, 'cause Zeus was creating the anime faster than Thor wrote the manga?
 
GrimWhim wasn't as bad as cl0aked or Pirate X, of lawdy.
 
I hear so much about Pirate X, but I was unfortunately absent for awhile during his time here. His fame has me rather fascinated, what all did I miss and why is he so special?

Oh this and that, yeah. I believe I recall a few members banding together to form a revolution against the staff... or was that just bluecrow? Hmm. Other than that, I have fond memories of the bustling activity we once had in the Art Gallery and Graphics Request Shops and competing for random customers... ahh, good times.

GrimWhim - I knew him better as MaleficRaven. Odd chap indeed.

Yeah, I caught a glimpse of that. Pity I didn't have a go at him myself, he would've been hook, line, and sinker.

Think it around the same time as Scott I believe it was the 07 era (could have gone into 08 too). Community was really active and we had some great members here and some good friends amongst the groups. Some members some of us will never forget, times change and most moved on for one reason or another.

Yeah the whole 'the staff are nazis' movement that involved about 3-4 people who secretly plotted to turn the community against us and compared us to Hitler. Guess I was flattered in a weird way that they had taken so much time to try and 'bring us down'. We all know the end result of that though and we are all still here despite some dark times these forums have been a big part of our lives for 5 years+...

Alone in the conservatory on a tiny screen whilst I wait impatiently for the new plasma to be sorted out (something about needing something or other for a certain number of hours to reduce the risk of something or other. No idea, really...)

Honestly? I think it can be both options - you've got crimes of passion, as in done on the spur of the moment without much thought other than an extreme emotion such as rage, and then you've got your premeditated stuff. Serial rapists fall into the latter category whereas one-off's, as it were, tend to be the former. Of course you do get the ones inbetween who commit it more than once but usually only with one person, like a partner or family member, which combines spur of the moment with calculated decision-making beforehand. Don't forget, rape tends to be about control rather than sexual gratification, which is why most people know their rapist. Which in turn should terrify the crap out of people, in my opinion...

I don't really know - I think when we've all pulled together to get rid of a certain troublemaker, whoever that may be, but also the good times when this has been something of a refuge from the horror that is the world wide web. Come to think of it, I've got almost more people from this forum on my FB than actual people I've met in real life :D

I've not been here as long as many others but I think the most favourite memory for me if I have to pull one out is every single in-joke, lol and meme we've spawned over the years together either as a result of off-topicness, the chat room or just getting to know one another. Yes, that is impossibly ghey of me to say but I guess that's how I feel about it. Also realising that JohnDoe was not the person I thought he was (thank goodness) and becoming someone I really enjoy speaking with :)
 
Anyone else remember Dragonmaster91?

I remember a fair bit of drama from that guy. I'd say he's responsible for a politics debate thread spiraling the most out of control.

To be honest not really I remember the name but not the drama they caused, I only remember the biggest of idiots from my forum times as ive seen countless so only the most annoying ones stick in my mind.
 
Wait...what exactly did CL0AKED DRAGGON do? All I remember is him giving tons and tons of likes to everyone and then getting mad about something, which caused him to ask the staff to delete his account. It seems to me like that's nothing compared to the sh*t Grim pulled. I got into quite a few squabbles with him.

Back when we had vBulliten, I remember looking around in some old threads that were before my time and seeing posts by that guy quite a bit. I seem to remember thinking that just by the way the conversations in those threads went, I assumed he was a staff member, or at least acted like one. Who was he, and why did he get banned?

He was a she and for a time was a member of the staff. Was a series of misunderstandings that escalated and other parties becoming involved & lots of unnecessary drama but I wont discuss anymore about it out of respect for her as while she was here she was a valued member and for personal reasons doesnt feel right to speak about her now she isnt here and after she went in such circumstances. I prefer to remember the good times rather than how it went as it was a real shame.

Asked him to tone it down on the likes and then he ragequit because of it, talking about how his freedom was taken away and how his family fought in wars for him to have the freedom to do & like what he wants, etc.
