Just saw it today. Epic.

I thought they where going to screw up Hulk and make him all humanised and sentient, but no he was pretty much 'Hulk smash'. though i would of liked it if after they defeated Loki and the army the last bit of the movie would be the team just trying to stop Hulk.

Also i was not expecting it to be that funny, funny yes but not that funny i literally laughed out loud at a few parts. Not even a little giggle or a chuckle, a good deep belly laugh.

Agreed, ther were a few parts were a full on laugh was needed, funnier than most comedies these days.

Definitely a "buy the dvd to watch over and over" kinda movie.

Loved it when Hulk and Thor defeated the one thingy. Then POW!

Ebert, who loathes CGI movies and who isn't especially fond of super hero movies gave it 3 out of 4 stars.

I'll probably watch it. Hopefully this Thor is more awesome than the Thor Thor.

The only reason to go to the cinema is to watch these kind of movies so you're right on that.
But there are still standards it has to meet, no matter if it's brainless or not.
A good example - Sucker Punch - super hyped, looked extremely promising on trailers and the only reason I wanted to see this movie were hot chicks in cool uniforms fighting monsters and nazis. The end result despite the very easy goals it had to achieve? Disappointing.
