Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda (Devil's) Triangle.

Wikipedia said:
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a region of the northwestern Atlantic Ocean in which a number of aircraft and surface vessels are alleged to have disappeared. Some people have claimed that these disappearances fall beyond the boundaries of human error, equipment failure or natural disasters.

In smaller words, many people believe in other dimensions or perhaps the possibility of aliens.

Arguments For: Beyond Human Kind
Wikipedia said:
Sand covering the loss of several planes and ships, including the loss of Flight 19, a group of five U.S. Navy TBM Avenger bombers on a training mission. Sand's article was the first to lay out the now-familiar triangular area where the losses took place. Flight 19 alone would be covered in the April 1962 issue of American Legion Magazine. It was claimed that the flight leader had been heard saying "We are entering white water, nothing seems right. We don't know where we are, the water is green, no white." It was also claimed that officials at the Navy board of inquiry stated that the planes "flew off to Mars." This was the first article to connect the supernatural to Flight 19, but it would take another author, Vincent Gaddis, writing in the February 1964 Argosy magazine to take Flight 19 together with other mysterious disappearances and place it under the umbrella of a new catchy name: "The Deadly Bermuda Triangle".

Arguments Against: Beyond Human Kind
Wikipedia said:
- The number of ships and aircraft reported missing in the area was not significantly greater, proportionally speaking, than in any other part of the ocean.
- In an area frequented by tropical storms, the number of disappearances that did occur were, for the most part, neither disproportionate, unlikely, nor mysterious; furthermore, Berlitz and other writers would often fail to mention such storms.
- The numbers themselves had been exaggerated by sloppy research. A boat listed as missing would be reported, but its eventual (if belated) return to port may not have been reported.
- Some disappearances had in fact, never happened. One plane crash was said to have taken place in 1937 off Daytona Beach, Florida, in front of hundreds of witnesses; a check of the local papers revealed nothing.

What do you think?

I would like to believe "something`s" there, but to my own disappointment, I do not.

I understand what you mean. It'd be pretty cool if something was there, but the chances are pretty low.

Re: Bermuda Triangle

I wouldnt belive something is up unless nothing that when in there ever came out. I say its just a bad place to fly/sail. either because of natural disasters, or its just a coincidence that a lot of craft just happen to go down there. nothing special.

exactly part of me wants something there but the chance is highly inprobable but i would just say stay clear from there and everything will be fine

so long as you don't find yourself accidentally staggering into a Bermuda-Circle that is.

(I sometimes call them roundabouts)

& as far I know/care the Bermuda triangle is just a bit of sea with a bad record for reporting accidents in storms

Re: Bermuda Triangle

I saw something on the bermuda triangle once, and it said that there are many other "triangles" where craft go down. you can basicly put a "bermuda triangle" just about anywere in the ocean. so its nothing special.

Re: Bermuda Triangle

I believe it has something to do with magnetic disturbances and anomalies which play havoc on the communication and navigation equipment, so they are led away from there original course without being able to talk to anyone.
For the planes, it also has an effect on their altitude readings. in certain parts of "The Triangle" it is apparently hard to tell the difference between the sky and the sea in terms of the colour and the reflection of the sky and sun on the water.
The boats would merely lose direction and travel so many naughtical miles around in circles and run out of fuel, get caught in a hurricane, run aground somewhere etc...

Dude, you're a bitch in every forum you've posted in.

Hey hey, calm down. A simple "You have annoyed me with your comment, sir." would have sufficed.

Re: Bermuda Triangle

When I took a plane to Africa from New Jersey, the landing gear stuck, and we had to land in the Azores. On my way back going over the triangle, one of the engines caught on fire. I watched it burning, once again we landed in the Azores, and waited for another plane. I don't know if everything I have seen or heard is real, but to have it happen both times, going over, really scared me.:( I hate flying.

Re: Bermuda Triangle

i heard something about the triangle that there is some sort of magnatic field or something and that isnt good for the planes and boats but i think its stewie trying to take over the world
