Big League Chew

Do they still sell this where you live? I can only find it here (in Pennsylvania) at novelty stores and such. I won't chew any other bubble gum, this is the only stuff that stays soft and doesn't hurt my sensitive teefs. :(

Re: Big League Chew

Oh heck ya! That is sold in every Walgreens and most major gas stations in Illinois. I love this stuff, along with my bros! We don't just have the bubblegum flavor, we have grape, watermelon and the sour apple kind too. The last one I don't see too much though, just rarely.

Re: Big League Chew

I found them at ****'s (EDIT: I can't say their name because it is a curse/name, synonymous with male private parts) sporting goods and at the Shell Station, also check the Cracker Barrel, dislike them though.

I don't know if they sell it in Canada, but if it really does stay soft, then I want some.

It actually gets sweeter the longer you chew it too!! :P

Re: Big League Chew

Ewwwww! Baseball!

How you can make a huge tournament/league out of Rounders, a Sports Day game at school, I'll never know.

Re: Big League Chew

So, I actually made a whole huge long reply that the forum ate, so the (slightly) short version--

I remember this stuff, only really saw it at concession stands for baseball and softball games, but I know you can get it at Sam's Club, maybe Wal-Mart, or maybe another bulk store like Costco/BJ's/whatever, and probably at Sport's Authority or, yes, ****'s or another sporting goods store.

And yeah, it made me laugh to think of it again. It does kinda gross me out, though, because I'm reasonably sure it's marketed like it is as a kiddie version of chewing tobacco-- so kids can emulate Big Leaguer's Chaw. But whatever.

And Zjuggernaut, Brits play CRICKET for crying out loud. You can't talk.

And yes, I'm aware this was a bit of necromancy, but it made me giggle.)

1. The English play cricket. ;)
2. Cricket sucks.
3. Baseball is a simple minded game that children play. That's what I was getting at.

Re: Big League Chew

I almost want to make a snide comment about, "aww the little Welshman thinks he ain't English..." but then, I'd be SO ****ed if someone tried to call me a Virginian. So I won't.

But if the Welsh don't play cricket, what's with all the cricket players in the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame? And this whole Wikipedia article?

And... [cough]bull****[/cough] I could say the same thing about soccer, here.

EDIT: And I'd like to retract my statement about the tobacco part. Evidently it was intended as an alternative to chaw for pro athletes, and the idea of a coupla ballplayers.

I stopped reading after the first part. I'm English. I was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Poked a hole in your post there, huh?

Welsh people aren't English. It's a different country. It's like calling a Canadian an American.
