Clear Wire SUCKS!

If you are ever thinking about getting an ISP, do NOT get Clearwire.
While it promises up to 2MBPS Download speeds, it usually only gets 50-200KBPS.
Dont get it if you are a gamer, and play the Xbox 360, PS3, PC etc. online!
Youll regret it!

Never really heard of it. My ****ty Wireless connection is that fast. Damn. I wish I had I direct connection to my modem. :'(

I heard they do that to trick you.


Something about megabits to megabytes. there are differences,

1 Megabyte = 8 Megabits

1 megabits = 128 kilobytes

2 megabits = 256 kilobytes

Yeah, it's weird. Bits are smaller than bytes.

why pay for internet when you have 3 FREE wireless networks to choose from like me? 1 with 160 kbps, 1 with 400kbps, and another with 100 kbps. i feel so lucky internet-wise sometimes

Contracts are must-reads.

Gawsh, I wish my parents let me see the contract before they signed up.
We called the guy at Clearwire, and we were complaining about how bad the internet was. Then he told us to go to speedtest.net or something and we got 82kb download speed and 10 kb upload speed. Even he said that was bad.

I f&()*&*(ing hate CLEAR. First I went into the store and they sold me on 1) buying the equipment 2) having service in my area.

I got the stuff, it didn't work and now it has been a disaster trying to cancel things. I called to cancel and they never sent me the return mailing labels via email. You can't return things back in the store, only phone. Then about a month later I see a charge for the monthly fees. When I called they said they had no notes regarding my first call even though they had me talk to two people.

It has been six weeks and I'm still out over $300.00. I hate these guys. Anything but 'simple'.
