Agreed and AVG is decent for a free program. Ive had some bad causes of Malware that have slipped through but got some other programs to deal with that.
I had McAfee and it was good for a while until it kept bugging me with notifications to upgrade it to a pro version etc and slowed my computer down. Norton was the reason my PC broke before as it decided that some perfectly legitimate registry files were viruses and deleted them, making my windows unstable and unable to load.
Sounds like Malware or a bad case of spyware to me. I shall post a link to the 2 programs i use to get rid of it when im home from work.

The Virus APPEARS gone, I have killed four infections, but ocassionaly when I am on the Internet, a random tab will pop up with an advertisement, that isn't too serious is it? How can I stop it? (I know this isn't a tech forum)
