It would also have the risk of MAULING YOU IN YOUR SLEEP.

Seriously, any kind of big cat as a pet feature belongs solely in a JRPG.
^the truth

Re: Dogs again?!

I'm quite happy the dog is returning. I loved the dog in Fable 2; aside from being useful, I eventually came to care about him as much as I do my actual dogs.

All praise be to the dog.

Re: Dogs again?!

It also gave yet another big boost to the English atmosphere of the game. I don't know why... it just did.

Re: Dogs again?!

I know man, I hated the dog. I'd purposely get it hurt for fun.

Thats something i'd expect fenrir to say O-o

Re: Dogs again?!

I loved the dog in fable II but it was kinda annoying sometimes, especially on my evil playthrough . But yeah it'd be cool to have it at home as a "Family dog" or take it out for quests and that

Re: Dogs again?!

BUt then again we also need animals that fit our character. Like Say you want to be some kind of Pirate dude, Get a parrot. Say you want a knight, get a horse. Like I want a set of quests that you can do in your childhood, basically doing one quest prevents every other quest, and in that quest you make a furry(or non furry) friend. Like a dog quest, Parrot quest, Horse quest, and even a Snake Quest.

And Honestly I found the dog annoying when it keep finding treasures to dig up. It wouldn't stop barking until I actually dig the thing up. It compelled me to dig things up that i don't want. Why would I want a condom that was buried anyway?

Re: Dogs again?!

Having anything other than a dog would ruin the atmosphere, and probably belongs in a JRPG.

Re: Dogs again?!

Sounds like people are wanting fable to be too much like world of warcraft. I'm happy with how the game is, and agree with ^

Re: Dogs again?!

i want a frog.

Re: Dogs again?!

I'd like to have a ferret be my pet ;) Be so cute to have a ferret attack my enemies and find me treasures :)

Re: Dogs again?!

Maybe they can later have DLCs for different pets. But if you truly want everyone to be a different person, you need a variety of pets, or dog breeds. Yea actually, a variety of dog breeds would be nice. And dog morphs should have more to it than just good and evil. then everyone can truly be unique.

Re: Dogs again?!

I <3'd my dog. I'm glad you get one in Fable 3, too.

Re: Dogs again?!

hopefully they give you a choice between a dog or will spell that works like a metal detector cause in the game my dog was only good for getting hurt and anoying me

Re: Dogs again?!

Somehow, I doubt they'd give you any kind of choice in the type of animal, because I'm pretty sure that the dog in Fable III is supposed to be the same immortal dog from Fable II.

But I did like that idea of being able to choose to leave him at home with the family at times. That would be a nice addition.

And I always named my dog something stupid like Arsehole or Malaka.

Re: Dogs again?!

I doubt that it would be the same dog. And maybe dogs in Albion are just naturally long lived.

Re: Dogs again?!

Well, it's really just speculation on my part, but I always assumed the dog was an immortal. Sure, he got shot in the head and killed, but you can still kill most immortals by destroying the brain. Then, of course, there's the fact that, with Knothole Island, no matter what you choose at the end of the story, the dog can always come back. So, it just seems to me that if there's going to be a dog hanging around your bloodline fifty years later, chances are, it's the same furry, little guy we all know and probably love.

Re: Dogs again?!

I want a pet Dragon :P

Nah, But I realy didnt mind the dog. It had it's problems but I think they'll at least work them out.
