So we all hear the stupid things people say when playing online when rage mode is activated. This can range from racist slander to homophobic comments to terribly put together insults and everything in between. So I thought I'd make a thread based around some of the stuff you hear other people say online, or maybe in things you've said out of nerdrage.

There may be some offending terms blah blah blah offensive blah be mature about it.

So the latest thing I've heard someone say is: "this game is nigger ass fags".

So I got a good chuckle out of that. What about you guys?

I mute everybody except my friends for this reason, so I don't have to listen to stupid stuff repeatedly. I get a bit angry when losing in a game, but its nothing more than swearing. Listen to my friend on Call of Duty call everybody who killed him a '****ing hacker' and accusing them of cheating was amusing. Even better when I asked how exactly everybody else was hacking, and he didn't have any explanation.

I do exactly the same thing, its a shame because id love to be on a team in a game and have them communicate helpfully. However mostly full of 12 year olds squeaking obscene things down the mic because they think its clever. I just go into private chat or if a game mode doesnt allow that I mute everyone else.

Years ago hearing my friend shouting over the mic "I will kill you, **** the body and make you suck my dick!!!" Granted she was a bit drunk, but realizing this was coming from a woman was a bit scary, yet somewhat arousing.

The other time was last year on Black Ops for the PS3 and I kept killing this camper, eventually he blew up with "****in' ass f***er, I will eat you alive and **** in my mouth!!" followed by a flood of verbal nonsense. Other people in the match just started cracking up, I had to place the controller down for a good 5 seconds just so I could process that sentence.

I'm not really that much of an online gamer, so I don't really hear much myself. But I have sat and watched my brother play before, one of the COD games, I think it was. Some little kid said to my brother "You're so bad. Y'know, you just sell your game!" So my brother replied "Heh alright but only after I've kicked your sorry arse." And he did.

My brother. Yep.

I'm not so much concerned about what my friends say, but the physical torment they inflict on nearby furniture.

A guy once asked me "What kind of name is Aions?" (way before the game Aion came out) in an asshole tone.
I said to him "an original one" and asked him: "What kind of name is Doup (DEW-p, rhymes with soup) he burst out laughing saying its pronounced Doupe (DOUGH-p, rhymes with soap). What an idiot. I was always suprised when people pronounced my name right; before the game Aion came out.

I know how you feel, had the same happen to me a few times. But people would mispronounce it Guy-koku, Gih-koku, Jikoku etc... it got to the point where I would just tell the person "Dude, just call me Scott." I've yet to come across anyone who pronounces it properly.

Gosh, don't you just hate it when that happens? In fact I bet none of you know my username is actually pronounced like qwuanufdescu.

I mute everyone on my team, usually. Especially in League of Legends. Holy **** that game has a terrible community.

My favorite moments are when people default to desperate insults when you're right, or you've bested them.

I absolutely HATE sore winners, though. You already beat me, why do you have to be an ass about it?

The fact that you can chat with (read: troll) the enemy team is a stupid feature if I ever saw one.

Yeah, sore winners have got to be some of the most annoying people I come across in LoL. Or that guy that says "omg noob team" In /all when they're losing.

I just hate it when people think that winning is the only thing that matters when playing a game online. In Raging Blast 2, whenever I fought against someone who used some cheap tactics, whether I won or lost against them, I would always send them a message saying that what they're doing is cheap and they shouldn't do it. Usually when I did that after a loss, people would just jump right to the typical "you're just ****ed because you lost!" comment, and usually when I did that after a win, they'd say something like, "dude, you already won, just chill out." It's just ridiculous how some people can't understand that having fun does not have to be connected to the outcome of the match.

Wait...so how is it supposed to be pronounced exactly?

Hmm, I guess I just never really differentiated between the Gi and Gee sounds. Weird.

Ima just call you all Boris until further notice.

One time on GTA IV there was an american kid that sounded like he was 12 and he kept calling me 'Stupid British Guy' or 'Hey dumb British guy'

Yeah....

I've never quite recovered from that.

Oh man, I just hate those little kids who sound like they're 12 years old (or younger) and just won't shut up. In my experience, they're usually yelling into the mic about how everyone else should go easy on them because they're getting super ****ed off about losing. I've gotten little bits of that on Raging Blast 2 and Assassin's Creed.
