Final Fantasy XIII-2

In fact, with the exception of Snow, the entire male cast is average/bad looking.

WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO CRITIQUE MY TASTE IN MEN!?

*runs away crying*

I'd play it.

You really should, the game has a lot of quicktime events and even greets you with one in the prologue. I just fended off this giant, epic hand boss with a quicktime event, was awesome.

I think you'll love it. :troll:

Quicktime events? In Final Fantasy?!

It is a mad, mad world we live in...

The only time they ever really matter is with monster skills (known as Feral Links). The ones in actual cinematic action are very, very easy.

In other news, I got Twilight Odin to join my party today. For such a high-rank monster, he's very very weak. I use him anyway, though. 'Cuz he looks badass.

Regardless of the difficulty, I'm still shocked QTEs are in Final Fantasy to begin with. Least it gives me something to do during all these cutscenes.

I really like the monster taming aspect. I'm still hangin' around with Cait Sith, but seeing his name in my party just gives me this rush of nostalgia. I should mention that Cait Sith makes these annoying meow sounds (doesn't bother me honestly), but it bothers my cats and causing them to attack my TV and speakers whenever he does it.

I'm curious though Tyloric.. do Live Triggers actually make a difference in the story or do they just change the dialogue outcome of that very moment?

My friend got the collector's edition been watching him play whenever I'm over there. The loading screens are enough to give me a seizure. It's like being a teenager at a rave with God mode turned on, the game is pure ecstasy.

As for the storyline, playability of the game I couldn't tell you. All I can say is that it looks AWESOME..

It depends on where in the story you are.

However, you know those float box-like treasure chests? Many of them are found nearby after completing a Live Trigger. They're Live Trigger rewards, and you receive an item from them depending on how to reacted to a situation.

SPPOILER:

Later in the game, you are given a few life or death situations. Depending on what you decide, you can change how events unfold, and even unlock a Paradox Ending (a conclusion that shows you how things might have happened).

Skipping the probably large amount of hatred: I still need to finish FFXIII, reason being? Grinding, grinding, and more grinding... UGH! However, I am at the final battle of Chapter 10, and I wish to finish the game by next week, I want to play the sequel, I like the story, I like Square, I have faith in the FF series, and Lightning is one of the biggest babes in all gaming imho.

The game has it's flaws, many of them, but it is still a great game. The major flaw I see in it: It stole the thunder from Nier, which was a superior Square published game.

In the FFXIII-2 main menu, there is a section called "Beginner's Primer". It recaps all the important points of the FFXIII story chapter by chapter, so you don't need to finish it if you don't want to.

It's also voice acted; you don't even have to read! 8D

Neato, I'll make sure to keep an eye out for them now. Thanks, Tylo.

Mm, one would think if there's going to be a XIII-3 that they'd make use of a XIII-2 save file to continue off from the paradox ending, rather than just sticking to one single canonical ending. lol Unless Square is just trying to keep things easy for themselves.

I'm glad they added that as I didn't finish XIII either (only made it to the 2nd battle with Barthandelus), so I was able to get myself caught up easily.

Epic hint: In that place, when Lightning asks you the question, respond with 'Yes'. It's the easiest Paradox Ending to unlock and also grants you an easy 1500 CP.

So, yeah. Do it.

I might as well finish it, I'm almost at Chapter 11, and there is 13 chapters.

Just though I'd let everyone know that I have 100%ed the game (other than that get 100 pre-emptive strikes in a row, which I am farm too lazy to farm after the god damn bestiary quest).

So, yeah, I demolished this game.
