Final Fantasy XIII is inferior on Xbox 360

UK-based online gaming publication NowGamer has received the final code of Final Fantasy XIII for Xbox 360. After beating the PlayStation 3 game, their team decided to look into the differences between the two.

They pointed out that the Xbox 360 version of the game is faced with lower resolution textures causing characters’ clothing to lack as much detail the PlayStation 3 version offers.

Some objects and enemies in the environment appear to be less detailed, as well, both in texture and geometry.

Finally, they stress the game’s CG as “extremely compressed” compared to the PlayStation 3 version comparing it to the “stunning HD” blu-ray offers.

Oh no. Sounds terrible. Final Fantasy isn't going to be that big on the Xbox anyway.

Sorry for the 'I don't care' attitude but Final Fantasy has kind of went downhill after IX for me. I really hope they re-make VII.

Not a problem, although I'd prefer to see a VI remake.. since it was filled with more than a few plot-holes, inaccurate translations, and so on. As opposed to VII which was fine as it is, aside from the characters looking like LEGOs.

I would like a V remake, I loved that one most. I am looking forward to the new installment, but my expectations are low.

Yeah, VII was fine but I would love to play a refined version on my 360. Best game I've ever played.

Graphics don't substitute great gameplay. So I don't see a problem here.

Some textures here and there wont change the game and its about time the PS3 had one inferior multiple platform title to mention. Id be more worried if it wasnt the superior version as it was designed on the platform and was originally meant to be exclusive and was designed specifically for Blu Ray. Im more impressed that they actually got it running properly on the 360 after having to change it to suit it. Everyones seen what happens to titles that were specifically designed for one platform then switched to another when they were never intended to be. PS3 fans would look at Half Life: The Orange Box in particular which ran quite badly and caused an uproar when Valve refused to develop for the platform.
