Oh my, 13, that's all. Well as long as you play only good, it should be OK. :unsure: Peter lets his son play games, that are M. It just all depends on how you play.;)

i have been playing m games since i was like 6 on playstation even though i am only 14

Oh, sorry, I thought it was general knowledge; ESRB are the ones in charge for rating games and I hate them, because people should not be told what they can and can't buy, they should rely on their own judgment.

They also force developers to dumb down their games to fit the rating. Take The Force Unleashed, for example; you can slice droids in half, but you can't with Stormtroopers, which makes no sense whatsoever except they didn't want a high rating on their game.

Bleh, even Half-Life is rated M. I played it, no, everyone I know played it at the age of 10 (or something like that).

All I saw there was sex and alcohol....I'm sure there are other things to take note of, but I sure as hell won't be fussing with them for QUITE some time...

THe higher one is Ao (adults only) Those aren't available for retail, and very few places sell them. Manhunt 2 originally had the Ao rating, so they took some stuff out... HAve you ever played that game? What could they take out?

That's OK. I just buy the games, and play. So, the ratings are kinda like movies?:unsure: There's lots of monsters in there as well. We can really get them, I think.

The problem lies in that the ratings are so much more than they are in the movies. I haven't heard about a producer who had to rethink his artistic vision in a movie just to please the rating people.

Imagine if they made a game based on any of the SAW movies where you could design horrible traps for people, and then watch the resulting struggle. That game would be so bashed by everyone - in the very gory and realistic style of the movies.

Movies are simple - if it's "too much", you don't go watch said movie. It should be the same with video games.

OOH my parents are like that :p as long as im mature about it they say... i might also be that im good in school but yeah :p

Tsuyu, I wonder why they are so strict with games? Maybe because the games could be easier to land in the wrong hands?
If a movie is to gross, I just don't watch it.

With how things are, a kid could probably get his hand on Backdoor Babes IV a whole lot easierthan a video game rated 18+.

It's just weird how the world works.
