So it's not a matter of hating things because they're mainstream, merely a matter of hating a lot of things that happen to be mainstream. I gotcha.
Well it isn't only that. There is a trend with most mainstream bands, which is the fact they try to be mainstream. They try to appeal so they make sales rather than to create a work of art where sales simply don't matter.

But there are exceptions to this that just happen to be mainstream, and it isn't something all mainstream bands are. I'd never simply toss a band aside for being mainstream, but the industry being how it is, just throwing clones of artists we saw 2 years ago at us every week, it's difficult to avoid this general rule.

If you see Slash, steal his hat for me, would you Andy?

I did see Slash and he was awesome though stealing his hat was rather difficult infront of around 90,000 witnesses.

Glad to see you're back man, I was close to slipping into insanity from your absence and-.... *sniiiff*.. Aww, yeah.. I can smell the Heavy Metal on you from way over here.

Did you get Angus' sweat on you during the show, favorite performance? Fill us in on how great a time you had out there, bud.

ACDC and Rage Against The Machine were amazing, ACDC's show was superb with some really good stage shows and effects. Crowd went crazy for Rage too and Killswitch Engage gave a fantastic tribute to Dio with Holy Diver with around 80,000 singing along to it also. The surprise amazing reaction came from Five Finger Death Punch, they had the crowd going crazy (so much so that their set was cut short because some people got badly hurt down the front). I think they got a lot of respect from their performance.

Slash did an awesome set with Myles Kennedy and performed some Guns N' Roses singles such as 'Sweet Child o' Mine', 'Paradise City' and 'Nightrain', plus Velvet Revolver's 'Slither'. He was also joined on stage by Lemmy from Motorhead for a rendition of 'Doctor Alibi'.

Slash played:

'Ghost'
'Back From Cali'
'Nightrain'
'Rocket Queen'
'Starlight'
'By The Sword'
'Sweet Child o' Mine'
'Doctor Alibi'
'Slither'
'Paraside City'

Only regret of the weekend was missing Aerosmith because the weather got so bad we left.

 Glad to see Death Punch is finally getting the recognition they deserve. Slash & Lemmy? Now I really wish I was there. I figured someone there would pay tribute to the fallen legend Dio, and I'm happy to see it was Killswitch. Did AC/DC finally play "Back in Black" in it's entirety?

Also, was Bullet at the show and what row were you in?

Ivan is a great frontman and he really knew how to get the crowd going and they were rather impressive (even though ive seen them before). A lot of people i know dont like them but they were giving them a round of applause at the end. Slash and Lemmy were superb together and was a great moment.

Yeah ACDC played it and had a long set full of surprises and fantastic stage work, was a moment i shall remember forever.

Bullet were there but they clashed with Them Crooked Vultures and although im not a fan of Them Crooked Vultures i wanted to see Dave Grohl & John Paul Jones in action. As ive seen Bullet twice before i thought id watch someone else instead.
