Gone Underground

Yup, Iv gone underground. I live in the basement now. Its awesome, I finally have room to put stuff! I can be organized! My old room would have made a closterphobiac faint. And best off all its nice and cool down here. It sure was a pain to unload and move my bed, dresser, computer desk, and another desk down here though. Most of it had to be taken apart to move though the house. But Iv got a sweet setup for my xbox now, my uncle gave us an extra bed that Im gonna use, and Im useing my old futon for a couch in front of the tv. Pluss a bookcase that was down here, and to old broken tvs that I can put stuff on (they are the kind of tv that is in its own wooden case so they have flat tops). Im tired from moving stuff all day, Im gonna finish up moving all the little things tomorrow, stuff like books, posters, other junk thats not really important. Oh its so awesome!

Ok Im done bragging now. Sorry if my grammar sucks, Im tired.

Im 19 and the feeling is mutual. Why would I care what people on the internet think of me?

Im 19 and I live with my almost blind, disabled, grandmother. I moved into the basement for more room. I could move out but then we would have to put granny in a nursing home because Im her caretaker, thank you very mutch.

Mmm. My dad might turn my garage into a gaming room soon. And make it sound proof so I can play my guitar REALLY, REALLY loud down there. Mmmm.

I have lived in both a garage and a basement. The garage was okay, a little warm, a bit small, but the basement was just awesome. It was like having an entire floor of a building to myself, oh wait that's what it was.

And come summmertime it is the coolest part of the house, too boot. I just laugh as the above-ground dwellers stew in their own sweat while I'm cool and content in my lair.

I've always wanted to live somewhere that has a basement...had some friends who came to live on the American Airbase in my old town before it got shut down and the house they were offered had a massive basement which they turned into an amazing games room with a bar and huge TV...was soooo jealous

Sounds cool to me. Houses in the UK aren't typically known for having basements, but if we had 'em you can bet I'd be in there like a shot. Got a spare one for me?

Aah... In 7 years I can see myself in a bug infested apartment with my only luxuries being a microwavee, a toaster, a tv with local cable and dial-up internet... Aah, I will enjoy it all! Have fun with your basement, I only get a small room, not a whole floor.

True, I suppose only the old derelict buildings have basements here in the UK nowadays. Us Limeys' are more for the loft conversions.

Which I should be getting by the end of next year!

That's pretty cool, I'm jealous of the space you'll have
I share a room with my sister, which kinda sucks, but since my parents are on holiday I've set up camp in my living room. And can finally play Xbox in HD!

Hahaa, have you found any gold in your basement yet TJ? Or any heroes tunneling through your walls?
