I got that old familiar craving once more...

you can't trade in old pokemon until you've beaten the Elite Four. So no charmander or squirtle to keep me happy D:

That's what an action replay is for.

i won't think less of you if you wait for them to realize that they need to expand territory, game size, and features and stop adding more pokémon.
hell, if they just released pokémon red/blue/yellow or gold/silver for the DS with revamped graphics and online support they could kill a cash cow from how superior those older ones were. 150-250 were already a lot to keep track of, and it's only getting more ridiculous.

i'll pay someone ten bucks if they can make an emulator that simulates a gameboy color link over the internet.

So, ironically I was walking home today when I saw that my local game store had the new pokemon games in. I felt my money burn a hole through my pocket, and, sorry John, but I succumbed. I am now the not-so-proud owner of Pokemon Black. :(

This game is:

a) not as bad as I thought it would be
b) not as bad as Platinum/Diamond/Pearl

I picked up White Version today. I haven't gotten very far because I had some other stuff to do today, but at least I have my first badge. I'm really liking it so far. Honestly, I think it would be pretty difficult for them to make a Pokemon game that I wouldn't like.

I didn't even like the Pokémon cartoon when I was the right age. I do remember going to the cinema with a few friends to watch one of the movies though.

The one with the Unown Pokémon in it.

Well I guess the forum rollback got rid of our most recent conversation in here. So Tyloric, what exactly was the process you had to go through to get the Liberty Ticket?

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- Okay:

1) Be near a wireless internet connection that your DS is compatible with.
OR
2) Have a friend who already has the Liberty Pass.

3) Go to Mystery Gift from the start menu.
4) Choose your option.
5) The Pass will download.

Oh alright. Do you know of any place that might have a wi fi connection that's compatible with the DS? The wi fi at my house doesn't work because of some connection type difference (WEP and WPA or something like that). I know that Gamestop has given out event stuff before, but do you know if that was over a DS compatible wi fi connection they have?

Most Cafes have open wireless. Some fast food places too (the Burger King and McDonalds near me do).

EDIT: Also try book stores.

You have a DSi right? Do you know if that has a different connection type? I have the original DS and none of those kinds of places have worked for me.

The DSi is built to use all types of wireless, the DS is not.

So... iunno what to tell you. D:

Damn, I was hoping to actually get this guy legitimately. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to use my action replay again...just as soon as I override the action replay firewall that Gamefreak developed for Black and White...

....Don't do that. :/
