I think it's weird but I have a rule of simply "As long as it isn't more or related to me I couldn't give a ****." If you ask me, laws having to do with the age of consent only increase teen pregnancy rates. Teenagers are just going to have sex anyway (which is not wrong by the way), and these laws just make it more difficult for teens to get their hands on contraception.

Well I don't know about where you live, but in my city the sexual health clinics offer free condoms and lube. In a jar. Right as you walk in. They also provide good discounts on birth control. :lol:

Anyone can go and buy condoms. Because of my embarrassment in buying them myself, I used to pay a kid to go buy them for me, along with any feminine products I was supposed to get. And I'm in Mexican Catholic Red State Bible Belt Conservative Texas. I imagine in California, where the air itself is so filled with uber liberal stench that the rain itself is accompanied by falling donkeys, it is certainly not an issue for people to get contraceptives.

I don't know of any sexual health clinics in my immediate area.

Guys, let me say now, there is no law saying under 18's can't buy condoms.... trust me, I speak from experience.

They sell them for £3 in the toilet at my local Sainsbury's for Christ sake.

What law is there that says people under 18 can't buy condoms? It's not a controlled substance. And you can't possibly be suggesting that kids have a hard time getting condoms because of certain dickhead cashiers at 7/11 because there are always other places to get the stuff.

So if you ask me, the age of consent laws don't have anything to do with teen pregnancy rates, as you said they're going to have sex anyway. No, I think the idiocy of teens has much more to do with the pregnancy rates.

I realize that there's no law against selling condoms to people under 18, but certain laws (like the age of consent) cause people to take it even further. And people that won't sell you condoms aren't just at 7/11. I was just using that as an example. Maybe it is actually easier than I think it is and I've just had bad luck. I'm basing my argument almost completely on experience.
