It took me long enough...

I finally got my driver's license. I turned 17 four months ago, so I could have gotten it more than a year ago, but I procrastinated. Anyhoo, today was actually my first attempt at the test, so I'm happy that I won't have to take it twice. The lady in the car with me was a short Asian lady who couldn't see the line at the stop lights or stop signs, so she took off a lot of points because she thought I didn't stop behind the line. Other than that, she only took off another point or two for very minor errors, so I did pretty well. That was just about five hours ago now, and I've already driven my friend around for a little while.

Re: It took me long enough...

Awesomesauce. I can try mine in October (Yay!)

Re: It took me long enough...

Don't you have to wait a few months before driving people?

Re: It took me long enough...

^You also have to be 18 to smoke and 21 to drink ;)

Re: It took me long enough...

Pfft, 18 to drink up here, foo! And I don't think you have to wait at all to drive anyone around.

But too bad I still don't even have my learners. Don't laugh at me.

Oh, and congrats Necro. Don't crash, run over old ladies, etc.

Wait, wait, wait. You're not supposed to do that?

Re: It took me long enough...

*shrug* I got my license on my 18th birthday.

Re: It took me long enough...

Congratulations, now please try not to drive like the rest of the teenagers on the road, I deal with enough of them already.

Re: It took me long enough...

Congrats Necro, I got my licence on my 16th birthday. And considering that I am, and have always been, the only person in my household that can drive, I'm just about ready to turn in my licence for a bus pass. 4 years of being a damn (unpaid) chauffeur will do that I guess.

Also, way to enforce the idea that Asian women can't drive.

Re: It took me long enough...

Unless I'm mistaken, Drakan still didn't get a driving license.

He's among the cool crowd.

Re: It took me long enough...

I'm 21 this year and I still don't have mine. Mainly due to the bus stopping right outside of my house and then straight outside of my job, lol.

I know that feeling.

Re: It took me long enough...

Don't make me feel bad. I'm 18 and I still don't have my Ps. Of course in Australia, one can't drive unsupervised until one has turned 18, so technically I'm not as bad as you. But it's still annoying.

Re: It took me long enough...

confratulations young one. i just got mine a month ago
