I would tune in if you questioned maybe a philosopher or someone who has proper knowledge of the questions... Kids at that age are probably likely to miss interpret questions, and instead view them as threats. Kids look at things literally and often won't get the hidden message
Also you have to remember a lot of your characteristics are from influences around you (for example his parents.) At that age (i imagine he is nine or something) he is less likely to think for himself and question his parents beliefs. Better questions would be more related to his age such as thoughts on movies, games and TV.
Do the same interview maybe when he is 15 and up, since by then his school will probably have shown the two sides of the story. Also a lot of schools nowadays use the bible to fill in gaps of unexplained things that would be too hard for them to grasp at an early age. And then towards senior school they will explain the gaps with scientific knowledge
