I always knew that Kurt died, I also knew that he was my favorite artist, I only listened to him after my death, but Nirvana and MEtallica is what started me on rock. And he has always been one of my favs... But... Unfortunately... I found out (From researching him) That he died on the year of my birth, that is saddening. but most of you probably won't understand.

Kurt Cobain: Nirvana guitarist/lead singer, killed himself because he didn't want his music abused, or something.
John Lennon: One of the Beatles, quit to be with Yoko Ono, was shot and killed.

I only liked Kurt when I was younger, and the Beatles are more for my mom.
What's so sad about him dying the year you are born? Lots of people have died that year.

^I thin kso, refresh me. And to Skotekal: He was special to me because he started me on rock and as my closest friends know: I found him a few days after my suicide attempt when I was in 3rd grade.

Kurt Cobain was one of the first people to start the Grunge scene. He and Nirvana kept grunge at the top of the national charts until his death.
