LCD or LED

What is the difference between LCD and LED does one have a better viewing angle then the other? Better picture? Cheaper? last longer?

Im getting a new home theater system soon that’s why im asking all these electronic questions

LED is much better picture. I don't know if it's better viewing angle but when I saw an LED TV from an angle, it didn't seem to deteriorate. LED are more expensive, both last around the same amount of time.

LCD is cheaper and not quite as nice, but still nice. LED is superior in picture quality, MUCH more vivid and fluid, but also more expensive.

LED does look nice but it's still LCD and to me is over-priced. You can get a Plasma for a little over $1,000 with the same picture as Samsung's LED TVs. However, the LED-LCD TVs are thin as what and do look great almost anywhere you put them.'

Either way, you're better off going into your local electronics store and seeing them for yourself, your eyes will be a better judge than our descriptions.

LED also uses a lot less of power to run, or so I've been told.

It also depends on what you use them for, what brand etc.

I find Samsungs LED screens to be the best. Second place is LG. But that is only my personal experience. I was blown away by a Samsung LED screen I saw, I didn't think colours so vivid were possible.

I've never actually heard of them. Is it US only or something?
