Modern Warfare 3 to be a prequel?

Rumours have been floating around for a while that the next Call Of Duty game to be made by Infinity Ward (whats left of them) will be a prequel and heavily feature the fan favourite character Ghost. Now The UK Official PlayStation Magazine has fuelled that rumour too on one of its pages it says:​

"insider whispers" suggest: "Infinity Ward's next Modern Warfare title will be a prequel, with Ghost in the lead role."
