There is a reason why we keep all staff discussions in the staff area - it is very rare we look for new staff as for the most part, people here are grown up enough not to put both feet in their mouth at once.

If need arises then more staff MAY be considered - but that will be kept strictly between staff members only. As much as I love the blatant ass-kissing that springs up as soon as even a hint of a rumour starts concerning empty staff positions, it doesn't make a difference to who we choose in the end.

Correct and ass kissing and brown nosing to get a position just makes it look desperate. However constantly being helpful and being a generally productive member of the forums without only doing it for your own ends is quite admirable.

Appreciate the mods for what they do, and appreciate the fact you don't have to do it. ;)

I prefer to enjoy the forum not having to police it.

Probably for a good reason. Now, what was the main point of this topic? Yes, anyone would LOVE to be a mod, but very unlikely. So no ass kissing. Or kiss as many asses as you want... Okay, completely lost my train of thought there.

Anyone can be a Moderator. If they are mature in their posts and earn some respect amoung the members then the Administrators might believe them to be the best candidate.

hawk, if you wanna be a mod create your own forum, theres plenty of forum shares out there, you can be admin, advertise your site alot through other forums and sites, then you can get some members and be admin... or go to stickpage they have at least 20 mods...

Too right - it's not the party time people seem to think it is - especially when you have 8 forums with a total of over 25,000 members, each with their own little "quirks" shall we say (and more than enough complainers).

If you like being called a Nazi, corrupt, racist and all-round discriminator then staffing a forum is for you.
