morrowind has all the depth oblivion missed but none of the music or visuals. There are a ton of mods outside the offical expansions to keep you going for a very long time. I recommend it but its a little trickier than oblivion or fable. Least I thought so.

Re: Morrowind For The PC

All my friends said Oblivion was crap compared to Morrowind. They were also talking about how they would make jump potions and they would go so high it would do that "pause - load" thing in mid air, and they would die when it hit the game.

Yeah, Morrowind seemed a little more complex tha Oblivion.

Yeah Morrowind was a bit more complex than Oblivion in a few ways. One of them being that there Isn't any fast travel, you'll have to have people teleport you, go by ship, or ride giant tick looking things called silt striders. That and you have o quest markers so you'll have to pay attention to your quests a lot more.

Anyways the place I go for all of my Morrowind/Oblivion mods is http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/
There is also another site called
http://tesnexus.com/
But I don't really go there so I can't really say anything about it. I know for a fact the first link is great though :)

Re: Morrowind For The PC

Morrowind is one of the all time greatest games IMO, it is so much more involvin than Oblivion, and the mod community is very extensive and the ability to make mods is easily accesable, I have even made many. I have made Claymores that you can throw at people and arrows you can stab people with.

I got it recently, and I enjoyed it. Haven't done much with it yet, and the graphics aren't it's strong point. Hence why my computer can play it.

I thought it was an amazing game.

If by short you meant long, then yes, I would agree.

Morrowind's story, atmosphere and setting make it one of my favourite games of all time, despite it's obvious aesthetic drawbacks.

Reading this thread has actually inspired me to reinstall it.

Re: Morrowind For The PC

Lol i have been playing it since i made this thread, it is without a doudt one of the best RPG's ive ever played and if oblivion had been anything like this then WOW but unfortunatly it wasn't. I havnt really played much into the story tbh just spent most of time playing around wit diffrent mods, id give it 1000000/10 it's that good :p
