Re: Mountain Dew Addiction
Water is the best alternative until your BP goes down, if you can't drink plain ol' tasty water for whatever reason, put a lemon wedge or lime wedge in there, tastes pretty good.Gatorade is good stuff too.
Try to distract yourself with games, cleavage, cheese, ANYTHING to get your mind off MD.If you don't think about it, you won't want it.
I used to be VERY addicted to Mountain Dew, and after I started drink more water, I started feeling better.Unless you're a freak of nature that will happen to you too.Soda is bad for you in many ways, your kidneys will suffer, and it will make you fatter, as well.I'm 5'5, and I used to weigh 150, stopped drinking soda and now it's down to about 125.(Might help that I run up and down the stairs sometimes, but tis' not the point.)
Trust me dude, trust all of us.Drink a buttload of water.
Juice works too...But drink Apple Juice, OJ will kill you.
(IF you got that joke, I givez you internet high five.)
Good Egg nog can taste SLIGHTLY of sweet eggs, But it's not nearly as nasty as it sounds, it's hard to describe it.I made egg nob last year and I put nutmeg, cinnamon, all kinds of yummy spices in there, and it tasted awesome.
@JD: It depends on whether it's storebought, and whether the person who's making it knows wtf they're doing or not.JD, I'd love to have you try my family's egg nog.It may change your opinion of it, it may not.Nutmeg and Sugar mixed with lots of cinnamon is a big part of good egg nog, and whether it's made correctly.I've gotten sick from drinking egg nob that was made the wrong way.Either the forked up the egg part, used skim milk, or some bullcrap.
When making Egg nog, use 2% milk, It's the best.(See here

Make sure the cream is smooth as it possibly can be.
Use Ground Cinnamon and Nutmeg, if you like it sweet, put some sugar in it.
For adult parties, I would recommend using Brandy, Rum, or Advocaat.I've "heard" whiskey makes it taste weird.
If you like richer flavours, then substitute some of the milk with cream.Mind you, not too much, or it'll be like a nuke went off in your mouth.I still recommend using a bit of cream, it brings out the flavors.Well, to me it does, anyway.
Just keep using different amounts of everything till you find that one recipe that works for you.
I don't mean comepletely substitute the milk with cream, cause I did that once...
And it tasted freakin HORRIBLE.
