Re: Fable 2 Ideas/Wishlist

love the idea of a shady guild...maybe somewhere near darkwood...
i think it would be great if fable 2 elaborated on the idea of only being able to buy certain items, armor, and weapons in certain places...like you have to go to "the shady guild" to buy dark armor or obsidian weapons(which i hope will be much more powerful in the next game), or to buy light armor or some form of "good" weapon, you must go to the "good" guild. The "good" weapon could be used as an alternative to the obsidian weapon...i think the "master" weapons should be done away with, because they are more powerful than the obsidian ones, and i dont want my fully evil hero to be walking around with a cute little golden sword soley because it is so much more powerful than the demonic-looking one. so by taking away the masters, adding the "goods"(no name yet...still thinking), and making the obsidian and "goods" more powerful, there is one more moral-based item, as with light and dark armor...also, i think you should, depending on how evil or good you are, only be able to use certain spells. If you are only half evil, then you could only use slightly non-decent spells. But if you are full-blown evil, you can use insanely demonic will powers in addition to the "non-decent" ones. I think these ideas add tremendously to the whole aspect of "being evil".

i loved the idea of starting a "gang." Also i wish you could have fights against other gangs.

another sieges! that would be awesome with maning canapults, trebuchts, ladders and those big *** cross bows

But what i want the most is being able to shoot people with a bow and have there bodies stick to trees buildings or stabing people and let them hang till u pull out ur soward etc.

and i love the gun idea rifles should be long range and pistols only work at short range
Shotguns?

also pirate ships? battling others? cannons? i would love using diffrent types of cannon ammo like a chain that could kill the sails leaving them dead in the water then leave them to starve

I dont like the idea of having good and bad spells effect your personality, look at Darth Tyrannous, he was good but used the dark side

I like that spells get more expensive depending on your allignment. You can buy them anyway. To a certain point.

yeah thats an awseome idea. I thought that the room was kinda pointless. It would be cool if the doors led somewhere

Some ideas for Fable 2

1. You get to raid villages with the bandits and kill all that get in your way

2. scars don't appear like in the original, they get only in places that you've been hit

3. There has to be more animals. The only animals in the original are the chickens and the sparrows. There should be cows, horse and other animals

4. more religion should be oriented. There wasn't much in the original and there should be church. Also, show the different sacrifices at the Chapel of Skorm (they only showed the guy being eaten by green stuff)

5. If you beat your kids they should run away

6. Stories of the legendary weapons

7. You should turn into a balverine if bitten badly enough

THese are just some of my ideas. Post what you think about them
Yes,yes they should really add that

Did I hear someone say siege? I can picture it all now: fire and billowing smoke out of a castle wall, armies of troops fighting side by side with you to take the city! That is what the Fable universe needs more of- massive combat, wars, glorious undertakings, or whatever the heck you might call it! This could work into the storyline of the game in many ways, such as a massive war between you and the antagonist, Lucien, pitting armies against eachother. Lord of the Rings, anyone?

Might be a possibility with more and more games doing it, two recent ones being Gears Of War and Oblivion (Though Gears Of War D/l Content hasnt been released yet)

I wish you can have an army to fight and/or pillage villages. This is much like just getting a bunch of bandits to follow you but I mean a more in depth version of raiding, like being able to get more bandits to follow you and keep the spoils of the raid to yourself or share with your bandits to keep them happy or army to fight against bandits attacks or conquer villages and towns. Also a way to recruit people from villages and towns you raided or conquer. basically I want a army/Bandit army function in Fable2.

Re: Fable 2 Ideas/Wishlist

This idea will seem minor in comparison to some of the others out there, but how about a Difficulty Setting option? That way beginners could learn their way around the game without getting too worried about their hero dying off quickly, whereas those players who find the default settings too easy could set it to a higher difficulty for a real challenge.

I know, the original Fable wasn't that hard when you look at it after beating the game, but I know when I was first learning how to play, I feel like I was spending more time buying Health potions than actually spending time out on the battlefield. It actually got to the point where I almost decided to quit playing Fable forever.... :(

That said, I think having an adjustable Difficulty setting might appeal to a larger number of gamers (new and old).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Additionally, don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but how about being able to brew up your own potions. Sure, you'd have to do something like search for the ingredients in the wilderness, but it would keep you from having to spend a lot of gold.

I like the brewing potions idea
Here's my earlier post on it

I would like to see alchemy, where you mix ingredients to make potions.

Some ingredients would be hard to find. Some would be alignment dependant.

For instance, you could only get Blood of an Innocent by killing villagers and Fairy’s Tears by healing/blessing a fairy.

Also certain shops would only sell ingredients if you're alignment is one way or the other.

If nothing else I like that idea all by itself.

Imagine that you’re of good alignment so the shop keeper doesn’t show you certain nefarious items fearing you might go all noble on him/her and call the authorities.

Or, if you’re evil, then the shop keeper won’t let certain items "fall into the wrong hands"

How about having different story lines that are more difficult to complete. For instance an early "Quest Card" that is optional and difficult but opens up additional difficult quests if you complete it. That way you could have both the more difficult game and replay value.
