Re: my wishlist and ideas

Yes near Stafford. a small little Village known for its Pickle.

As for new ideas, i like the creating a weapon from scratch, i would also like to see more cutomization on Armour and clothing.

For instance you can buy a standard issue Platmail armour, but searching the wilderness you find some metal, that you take to a blacksmith asking him to use it to improve the outtershell of it. Or you have a Mage outfit and find an animal (I.E a balverine) and using its skin and the aid of taylor add a layer that protects against its attacks to degree.

again like the slots on the sword you can only get so many so there are only a certain amout of combinations, and only certain armours and cloths can be modified.

And now i have to make a phone call to the Missus to grovel another thing that might be added in Fable 2 so excuse me.

Burton on Trent? All I can think of is Branston Pickle...*

The idea of customising your outfits is a good one - I think a lot of people would like that option. I didn't like the limitations in Fable: The Lost Chapters regarding clothing...

*Yes, I googled it coz I've only lived here for about four months...

Re: my wishlist and ideas

Correct- Its the Village of Branston In Burton-on-Trent. Located in The Shire of Stafford.

Other ideas:
Instead of of having a Village of evil like suggested, perhaps something more realistic like certain villagers being known for causing trouble, like stealing, Violence and such.

Also i particularly liked the idea of helping the local school find books, but perhaps there should be more schools with slightly different side quests.

i would like to have a local jail in each village and commiting a small crime (i.e stealing) gets you a fine and having to return the item to the owner. Assualt gets you a day in the local jail. And Murder gets you a visit and sentence to Bargate prision. If you escape Guards will be on watch for you so you have to change guise, and such. but like the original crimes or escaping are forgotten over a LONG period of time. and some guards can again be "brought" off.

With trading i would like to see more realism. For instance a traveling Merchant is not likely to be carring large items or massive weapons or more than 100 piece of meat etc. so have them have a heavy pack but can only carry very limited stocks. Again where there are villages have two perhaps three shops variating things but have them specialse in weapons armour items but have a little of everything else.

Drinks. I would like to see more variety than just BEER. which although makes you fat and drunk and is fun, but isn't realistically the only option. Have a cantine that can be filled with water. there could be Apple juice, Cider other than crates of it that can be drunk, Orange Juice etc. Also a little more variety in food, Chicken pie, potatoes ect. not all have to have an effect other than gaining wieght restoring health. each one could be used to trade where they are known for having low supplies.

thats just a few other little things i have thought of i am sure i'll think of some more.

Definitely more drinks. Was surprised they didn't have at least mead in Fable...just think folk festival and you've got your drinks list right there. What was it I had once...rum and something or other...some kind of mixer that isn't easily available...sounded like hedge or fudge or something...

I like the sound of that, more drink is always good. Though my character would probably never do any quests and stay in the bar constantly :ninja:

I think more idea's such as a new skill Called Tradesman should be introduced to Fable 2. It would let you build businesses and trade things to make a profit. Maybe it sounds a bit like Guile but it would be more advanced and more beneficial to the player. :D Also maybe run your own tavern, make your own drinks, sell them for profits, and maybe hold drinking contests in the town.

Re: my wishlist and ideas

I Just remebered the one that really Annoyed me in Fable. And it was the most obvious.

Killing ANY Hobbe, Bandit, Troll, Balverine or Enemy for that fact gets you instant Good Alignment points. When all your really doing is protecting yourself. To gain evil ones you have to kill only three things, Guards, Traders, Villagers. Now i like the evil point thing cause its realistic, naturally Killing hordes of Guards, Villagers & Traders is not the nicest thing, they leave you alone unless you attack them or accidentally shoot them with a stray arrow or spell. But the enemy is there to cause trouble wether your nice or not so you HAVE to kill them unless you run off, or otherwise divert them. So its not exactlly a good or bad thing its a neutral one.

So my idea is thus, Perhaps when on a Quest that is acctually defending someone, or helping a village, or clearing a path for the trader who hired you, by killing attacking creatures you gain Good Alignment as you are protecting them. But when freeroaming, You gain Niether Bad or Good Alignment only the Expierince reward. This way ones alignment will always reflect the true nature of the charater be it good or evil.

Re: my wishlist and ideas

Well you are putting yourself in harms way and the net result is good if kill an evil creature just like killing a good person is and evil act. Just because there is another benefit from the killing doesn't change the net good or bad. killing villagers for the homes could be seen as entrepreneurial. It's not the intention but the act that gets the good or evil points.

Funny thing is if you lead a group of villagers into darkwood and they just HAPPENED to get torn apart by hobbes or balverines then afterwords you kill the balverine or hobbes the net result is good.

OK once again I'm over thinking it ^_^

I hope the home is more warm place where you can SIT DOWN and eat or watch the fire. It would be cool if you had to build the fire and it would go out after a period of time, instead of an endlessly burning log in every home. Maybe you would see other people tending the fire the same way you see people carrying crates or washing the dirt floor :p

Good idea and Hex said that same thing to me a while ago. Well spotted and nice ideas none the less.

Maybe the super secret is that there are no good or evil points when you kill monsters.

yeah, that was definitely one of the downsides of the game for me. I'd been spoiled by Bioware with their wealth of moral dilemas and was dissappointed that morality was made so black and white. Not only does it not matter why you're killing something, but the reasons why you help don't matter either. If I help someone out because I'm a nice person, that's one thing, but what if I only helped for the gold he was paying me... that's a mercenary attitude, and while not evil should not yield me any good points... or the fact that if you're on a quest helping bandits, even though these are supposed to be your comrades, should you stab one in the back and kill him, you still gain only good points... that's just odd to me...
I'd like to see more go into questioning the reasons behind the choices, as that's what really makes an act good or evil.
