i faced the same problem, i was playin fable 2 on boxing day, I JUST GOT IT FOR XMAS!!!! and it started to go pixalated with little black squares, i went to dashboard and everything was fine persides my avatar was covered in black squares.... i got one red light..... on the screen was system error contact xbox 360 support and there was E74 at the bottom of the screen..... i phoned xbox 360 support....they sed within 48 hours of it being broken its free to be fixed.... you give them your email adress and and they send you a label to put on a PLAIN cardboard box with only the xbox 360...no hardrive ect. and in the email is a phone number which is a parcel company's number that you ring to discuss when you want them to pick the box up....it gets taken to microsoft to be fixed.....and you should get it back within 2-3 weeks . ive jus only sent mine off so yer...... btw as long as you have phoned up within 48 hours of it getting 1 red ring every thing is free, postage, repairs etc.

I hope in 2010-2011 Microsoft will come out with a new Xbox (lol Xbox 720) that doesnt scratch the disk.

Every console with discs can do it if you move them when they are turned on so none have yet really. If you moved the playstation it could do it, however PS2 and 360 were worst for it as they could work both ways. Gives the discs more space to tilt and hit sides to cause damage. Bottom line as i said is DONT MOVE CONSOLE WHEN ITS ON & HAS DISC IN IT and it wont happen. It says it clearly in big warning signs on most the manuals.

Funny. Because sometimes I move the Wii while the game is playing and there are no scratches.

Doesnt have a disc tray so less chance. =]

Any idiot who has a game ruined by moving console when its spinning deserves it for not reading or listening.

Sales have been poor as the games havent attracted people to that. Ive pointed out many reasons before why the PS3 hasnt sold well. It will sell well and sales have picked up but its got a 10 year life cycle so Sony arent rushing as usual. The PS3 to create costs over $1100 per machine and Sony are losing lots of cash even at the price its at now. If they hadnt been so lacking with exclusive titles and hadnt stripped most the features out of the console to lower its price then it would have sold more. It bombed this year but although im not Sonys biggest fan after they screwed Europe over (which ive mentioned many times so wont get into it) its sales will improve and it will be around a long time. Great machine with poor marketing choices behind it and bad company management to say the least.

Ive been a fan of all 3 companies and i have chosen the console that suits my needs best each time and if 2 are out at same time and both have good games ive had them both (PS/N64) (PS2/Xbox).

ive had my xbox for just about 3 years and i got the 1 red ring and i havent played xbox in 8 months and i just got call of duty modern warefare 2 andits driving me CRAZY and im sending my xbox in but its taking 3-4 weeks wich is preety gay
