Re: Name your Weapon!
just because a book has a large following doesn't mean it's important. If that's the case, I think I should start worshiping Harry Potter.
Yeah, JUST because it's a book, which just so happens to be the single most influencial book on the planet, changing thousands of lives every day, and on which the grounds of the majority of the Western/ Developed world's laws and constitutions are still based on, not to mention one of the major players in the formation of today's mostly polite, well learned culture, doesn't mean it's important. the ignorance of some people astounds me.
Just because you don't think that something isn't important to you doesn't change the fact that it is. I could quite easily say that Barack Obama becoming the President of the USA isn't an important step forward in the acceptance of Black people as a whole, but i would be WRONG, wouldn't I.
FYI some of the most powerful people on the planet are Christian: Obama (USA), David Cameron (UK), The Pope (Vatican + est 900,000 Catholics), many of the other European countries including France (so that is 3/8 of the worlds nuclear power and a huge slice of the political), large parts of Africa, and of course everything in the British commonwealth is a Christian state (Australia, New Zealand, Northern Ireland etc).
I will hold nothing against you however, now that i have this all off my chest. I'll even pray for your conversion(s).
(obviously the 's' applies to everyone atheist, Sikh, or Hindu, or one of the many smaller religions, like paganism, wicca, satanism, so on and so forth. Jews and Muslims worship the (more or less) same God, with variations, and Buddhists are mostly too entrenched in the whole ENLIGHTENMENT thing anyway.
