Near death experiences

There was this time I was near death.

Yet, you don't know if it wasn't true. It's possible, but it's also possible it actualyl was a near-death experience.
 
The second you learned the truth about the situation it ceased to be a near-death experience.
 
Yes, I think it would have been more akin to a near death experience if the panther had actually attacked you. Or even made moves to attack you and been distracted by sheer luck or something.

But that's just me.
 
Yeah, true that. But we never know if there was a panther, so we can't exclude the fact that it was possible.
But yeah, even if there was, it was not a real near-death experience, since it didn't attack, and they survived.

Extreme fear counts. Okay yeah it didn't attack me but if it had, it would be more of a death experience than a near death experience.

Uh...as for near death, well my insides exploded and my lungs filled with 2 pints of my own blood and they had twenty minutes to fix it or I'd be dead so I dunno if that counts. They called my next of kin and all that crap so it must have been important. I wouldn't know because I was unconscious by that point. But hey - I got into a medical journal for it, which is kind of cool...

The Urban dictionary is sadly lacking in real vocabulary. I'm sure the young people amongst us get a great deal of use out of it but being one of the old and wobbly members of society, I prefer real words from a real dictionary. Fie my grammar school education!

Unless you're a cat or Jesus, this is physically impossible. Electrocution means you're d-e-a- DEAD. However, just like you I have accidentally received electric shocks while working around such things...feels kinda tingly.
