It's a problem with the genre, I think. I watched Quarantine earlier today and laughed at each tragic point in the movie. I really enjoyed the last part with Jennifer Carpenter sobbing and screaming the whole time, not because I'm a sadist (well, maybe) but because it was humorously awful. It sucked to the point of making me laugh.
Zombies, undead, mutants, cyborgs, or whatever - I've not seen a single good movie that included the aforementioned. I'd say monsters too, but that recent Wolfman movie seems promising, I enjoy darker retellings of Little Red Riding Hood (hint: she dies) and I love Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (does Frankenstein count as a monster?)... and I'd say vampires but the first Blade movie wasn't terribly disappointing and I find the classic stories of vampires to be entertaining.
But yes, with those exceptions, I find just about everything in the horror (including half-horror movies that are also suspense, thriller, mystery or sci-fi) genres to be a waste of time. But that's just my opinion.

It's me, and I love red peppers. Do I turn you on?
JohnDoe;386492 said:That sounds right. If any of the would-be victims had a brain cell, they wouldn't be doing stuff like driving out in BFE Kansas and climbing down a shaft in some shady guy's backyard because they saw said shady guy dumping bodies in it. No surprise when they get eaten.

Tsuyu;386657 said:Why would you, unless you belong to a dumb late-80's or early-'90s teenage stereotype?
Gikoku Harakami;386479 said:Yeah, sometimes I love to shove them into my vagina, and **** myself crazy, then vomit on myself, smear it around and drink it all up.
Tsuyu;386629 said:The reason I love the Friday the 13th movies is that it is like watching someone perfrom community service; but instead of picking up trash Jason kills off dumb teenage stereotypes in most brutal fashion. In a way, Jason is the hero in those movies. Actually, he's my hero.
