Perfect Damn Timing!

First of all, I am ****ED. You wanna know why? Probably not, but your gonna find out anyway. My 360 is having very frequent problems with that overheat half ring. It even happened when I was playing Call of Duty 4 today. And guess what is even worse? Fable II is coming out in 2 weeks, and graphic intense games seam to be my Xbox's major dislike, every time I play GTA IV it does this after 20 minutes. And Farcry 2 is also coming out soon. Now I am faced with a decision. Send it in like right now, and hope to GOD that it comes back in time for these games, or wait it out and see what happens. Why has Microsoft ****ed me over like this? And why do they get away with selling faulty products???

Re: Perfect Damn Timing!

I have had problem after problem with mine xboxs. If its going to be a system swap they do it pretty fast. Repairs I dont know. I'd wait it out.

Re: Perfect Damn Timing!

my brother had the same problem.
i hate it, b/c i'm waiting for his xbox to come back.
then i'm apprehending it for Fable 2.
heck yeah.

Re: Perfect Damn Timing!

Mine did it when GTA IV was coming out & a COD 4 double XP weekend, now that wasnt good timing either.

Only waited 6 days before it was returned in full working order though so no complaints from me.

Re: Perfect Damn Timing!

I just got mine back about a week ago. From the day I sent it in, it took 9 days for me to get it back. So I would send it in as soon as you can and chances are you will get it back in time.

Re: Perfect Damn Timing!

They get away with it with hi-def games :P

Re: Perfect Damn Timing!

Man, I really hate this. And it gets a "half red ring" which indicates overheating, and it does that with graphic intense games, unless I pop them in after a full night of cooling. Oh well. I'll wait it out. The longer I wait the more I will enjoy playing it.

Re: Perfect Damn Timing!

Just send it in. The longer you wait, the more cut into your Fable 2 time. Especially if it decides to **** out on you on the 21st.

Re: Perfect Damn Timing!

Hey man do the Towel technique, It gets rid of the ring of fire for atleast 5 days and ya xbox works perfectly fine.. Have you ever done the towel technique? Well yeah i did it.. My Baby is getting too old now.. i bet you it will happen as soon as i get the game!

Oh well just try out the Towel technique.

Re: Perfect Damn Timing!

the reliability of the xbox 360 is so bad that they should have a warning on the box

Re: Perfect Damn Timing!

Bad luck, S! Really bad timing, too. If your 360 is still under warranty then I'd recommend shipping it over to Microsoft HQ as soon as possible. I would hate to have my Fable 2 experience ruined by having the red ring of death strike while I'm cruising around Bowerstone.

I almost died when my 360 died on me, two weeks before Devil May Cry 4 was released. Fortunately my 360 arrived back the same day my copy of DMC4 arrived.
