Shooting

I am going to a shooting afternoon on tuesday with a rifle and pistol club near where I live. We will be taught how to use them, learn how to shoot and then get a chance to do a competition where we see who can hit the bullseye. I thought I would let you know and I want to know if anybody does something similar.

Re: Shooting

Ive done that before, its quite enjoyable. A few years go, when I was still in boy scouts, we took some gun class at a police station. Now I have some licence that I dont use.

Assuming I could just hand it to you, sure why not. Whatever it is, and wherever it is, its probably expired anyway. But since I cant give it to you, looks like it stays mine.

Shooting guns is great, it appeases that part of you that just wants things to go "BANG BANG BANG!" Yay!

I do that sometimes with my dad. Good ol' rifle-shooting.
You're allowed near a gun?

That's cool John, I can imagine that :P Because I live in Britain its not easy at all to even see a gun let alone hold one so I don't think there'll be any shooting ranges in the UK that are so lax as they seem to be in the US

Guess what I live in the UK as well. My friend owns a rifle as well, though only for hunting. I am sure that if you look you will find a rifle/pistol club around your area.

And for the shooting we will be using .22 Rifles

Re: Shooting

Buuuut, I love my animals, I use to go shooting animals.. Then i realized it wasen't nice and I didn't enjoy it. Sure call me a Poof or a Whimp, I just think its cruel if they're trying to live their life. If they're a pest or they're trying to kill you, It becomes MORE understandable, but still not justable.

I prefer to shoot targets..

Re: Shooting

Because not everyone likes to shoot guns popularized by video games. You don't need power to have fun at shooting range. That gun was developed for piercing armour. It could even take out a helicopter, if done properly. You do not need that at a shooting range.

I love that part. The only thing better, if only I could find a video, (I don't know what show it was on) was when they decided to go hunting, and Cheyney raises his gun and yells "quail!" and it shows the Reagan shooting.

Never heard of it, make sure you post a video if you find it though. :D

I did find a magazine cover that made me LOL.

Haha sweet.

Anyone in the Bay Area here in California ever been to San Jose Zouves?

Re: Shooting

I've had fun the few times I've been shooting-- my dad owns a shotgun from when he was a kid, and one of his friends has a house in the middle of nowhere where he can riddle tin cans with bullets. I have ****ty aim, but it's fun.

(Technically, I probably own a gun, too, but I doubt I'll ever see the one I inherited from my grandpa. My uncle intercepted it. For some reason, he doesn't trust me. Though he did say he'd hand it over if I went to one of those NRA gun safety classes or whatever.)
