Basically, I wanna know if this is just or unjust.
So, I've been working at a liquor store for about 6 months and I got fired for spending too much time in the washrooms. Now, I'm not sure what it is, but I have intestinal pains pretty much 24/7, and my bathroom breaks take a little while as a result. My boss asked me about a month and a half ago to get it checked out, and she expressed genuine concern. She never said I couldn't take a long bathroom breaks. Now I never went to the doctor about it, because they seem to just search my symptoms on a computer and write me off an expensive prescription that has a hit and miss chance of working. So a month goes by, she tells me about how some of the other employees are complaining about my bathroom breaks, and so she tells me I can't do that anymore, as if I can somehow help it. Take half a **** and leave? Yeah, okay. So I try to take minimal bathroom breaks, but it didn't work out. I called in today to ask for reassurance on my afternoon shift, and she says on Saturday too many thefts were happening as a result of me in the washroom. So she went on to say I was going to have to be let go.
So, is this unjust in your opinion? I'm going to call the worker's board later today, but for the moment I'm a little busy. Just want some opinions.
