So, School has started!

So, School has started!

Or, it will be starting in a couple of days.
Well, for me at least.

If anyone else is going back to school, what classes are you guys taking?

I'm taking, in order of periods (I have 7..)

Honors Language Arts 8
Health and Fitness (PE) 8
Geometry 1
Science 8
Reading/Writing Essentials 1-2
Drama (Elective)
World Studies 8 (History)

Man, I don't have classes with any of my friends. :(

Also, what are your favorite and least favorite classes?

I love Math, cause it's slightly non boring.
And I hate History unless if it's wars cause those are slightly interesting.

I had a class like that in highschool. They called it "TEAM". It was only half an hour long, and we only went to it on Thursdays. Everyone had the same TEAM teacher, with the same students for all 3 years. Your TEAM cass is determined by your last name, I was in the "J" class. Everyone in the class is in your grade. Basicly, they would hand out a weekly report card and nothing much else. Rather pointless if you ask me, they could have just given those out in your last class of the day on Friday.

My school had 8 periods, not counting the "TEAM" class. Befor it was only 7, but when they added the 8th they made it so you only go to 4 classes on one day, and the other 4 the next day. Only they did it in the most confusing way possible, because they gave you a scedual numbered 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, but on "A-day" you go to classes 1,3,5,7, and on "B-day" you go to 2,4,6,8. Every class was a grooling hour and a half. It was really annoying, especially on monday when you couldn't remember what classes you went to on friday. There were a few reversable signs in office doors that said "today is A-day" but those where rarely kept on track.

.... what?

I just skimmed it, but my school has basically the same thing.

Re: So, School has started!

I start classes next week. I'll be taking Sociology, Advertising, Mass Media, Magazine writing, Newspaper internship, and Western Civilizations II.

Re: So, School has started!

I've been going since January. I'm doing Music Solo, Music Group, Business Management, Legal Studies, and English. All of which I'm pretty sure I'm failing in.

Re: So, School has started!

School is starting for a week or so.
And I am taking some old classes ( Croatian, English, History, Geography )
and some new.
Pretty much, I'll be learning about electronics, computers, programing and some other pretty neat
stuff

I have something similar, except my school has 6 classes. We have all 6 on Mondays, then 1,3,5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 2,4,6 on Wednesdays and Fridays. It's not quite as confusing as yours:lol:

Anyway, I start school in about 4 days. Going to be a junior in high school. My classes are...

1. AP Psychology
2. English
3. AP Spanish IV (Probably getting out of this one )
4. American History
5. Weight Training
6. FST (Functions, Statistics, and Trigonometry)

AP = Advanced Placement, basically Honors. You get the extra GPA point, but you also take a test at the end of the year for college credit.

And no science this year! :D That's going to be awesome.

Re: So, School has started!

Varsity Band
World Studies
German I
English I
Physical Science
Algebra II

I'm a freshman this year. And since I took German and band, I don't have to do PE. WOO!

Weight training is a great class, you'll love it. I took it second semester and it was totally awesome. Working out, ftw!

Re: So, School has started!

I'm in my last year of School, So sad! But also very fun and easy going..

I take:

English
Maths
Outdoor Education
Information Management
Travel and Tourism

And thats all.. I think..
We have 5 Classes a day and when you're in your last year at school you get a "Free/Study period" which happens once a day throughout the week. That means you have 4 full classes a day, So easy.

And when its my Free/study period I just run to the beach and go for a swim.. :D

I took it last year, and I plan on taking it next year too. I even worked out over the summer so I wouldn't be unable to lift what I was lifting at the end of last year.

I'm also doing some sports. I'm on my school's cross country team right now, and I'm running track in the spring. I've been doing both of these since I was a freshman. I'm also playing soccer, but not for my school.

Lucky!

We did a little weight training in 7th grade. It was awesome. Too bad it was only a week.
