Starz have finally put fans out of their misery and announced a date for when Spartacus Vengeance will air and its January 27th 2012. After the sad passing of Andy Whitfield, Liam McIntyre has stepped into the shoes of Spartacus. After the success of Spartacus Blood & Sand and then after Andys illness the prequel Gods of The Arena season 2 has been eagerly awaited by fans.

RIP Andy Whitfield hope the series continues the success you helped set in motion.

Nice, so that's not really far off. Skyrim will keep me plenty busy until then so I'm content.

Yeah, we knew it was Jan it was coming but wasnt sure of an actual official date so its nice to find out its not far off. Just getting into Boardwalk Empire too, with that and a couple of others shows and plenty of games to keep me occupied until then its looking like a great couple of months of entertainment.

Looking forward to it. Seeing the new star is going to take some getting used to though. I keep seeing scenes in trailers and forgetting that he's the main character now.

^ True that. They did a great job finding a replacement. Really glad they chose to do that rather than letting the show die with its star.

Yeah, Andy wanted the show to continue and its a tribute to the hard work and performance he put in. So the show deserves to continue to be as successful and an honour to his memory.

Such an awesome series. I nicknamed it Blood and Tits lol. I'm really looking forward to see this though waiting for each episode rather than watching an entire season will suck.

What more could you ask for in a show?

Yeah waiting for a new episode all the time will be hard. Same as I feel each week when waiting for a new episode of The Walking Dead.

I haven't started that series yet. I'm tempted to wait until it's canceled so I can marathon the whole thing.

The Walking Dead broke records for the channels ratings which it aired on in both US and UK so I dont think its going to be cancelled at any point.

Season 1

The pilot received 5.3 million viewers, making it the most-watched series premiere episode of any AMC television series. The first season finale received 6 million viewers, a season high; with 4 million viewers in the 18–49 demographic, making it the most watched basic cable series for the demographic. The premiere in the UK had 579,000 viewers, almost double for any other show on FX that week.

Season 2

The season two premiere set a new record of 7.3 million viewers. The episode also set new records for the most viewers in the 18–49 and 25–54 demographics, with 4.8 million and 4.2 million viewers respectively, making it the most watched episode of a drama in the history of basic cable television in these measures. The original broadcast and the two subsequent encore presentations of the episode drew a collective total of 11 million viewers.

Starz have put episode one online for everyone to watch before it airs on TV on the 27th (30th in UK on Sky1) and ive just watched it and im happy to see the show back...

'We shall face the hordes of Rome again and the Gods shall weep for their suffering......'

Link for US is here I had to watch it elsewhere. :sly:

Thanks for the link :)
Watching it now. I'll post how it went in about an hour. I got to see some roman blood get spilled first.

Very dark atmosphere about the new series and the chemistry between Liam McIntyre and Manu Bennett is instant which is good to see. Only thing I found was its hard to remember all the characters and events that went on with the gap between Blood and Sand and Vengeance and the new characters that are thrown in too. The combat is just as vicious and bloody as always and the overall look and feel of the series is as good as ever and im glad to see it back.
