Swearing in Songs.

Do you agree with it?

Personally, yes.. I do. It sometimes sets the mood of the song, covers gaps and occasionally makes the song sound better.

But Limp Bizkit have no excuses. Listen to Hot Dog and just.. Oh my god.

Re: Swearing in Songs.

I don't really mind swearing in songs but sometimes rap takes it too far

Re: Swearing in Songs.

I just listened to "Hot Dog", pretty extreme. Doesn't even make any sense.

Fred Durst used it as a way to say 'Go ahead and try and Radio Edit this'.

Always liked that track though. I play it at work just to annoy the older people there.

Re: Swearing in Songs.

I really do not give a damn, most of my music I can't make out/translate what they're saying anyway.

Re: Swearing in Songs.

Swearing in songs is good :D except when your allowed to put one song on in class and i choose stupid mf by MSI and get in trouble :(

And, I don't know why, but this thread just reminded me of Jay and Silent Bob's "Mutha F***" rap...

That is the best rap ever!

Most of Slipknots songs seems like they're directed at angry fat kids

Re: Swearing in Songs.

Well I do like ****ed off rock, imo songs like "Sleep song" and "Hurt" have just as much power as "people=****" (EPIC TRACK) but I't feels good to cuss soemtimes, it is just excesively is when it loses meaning.

Re: Swearing in Songs.

swearing doesnt bother me. sometimes it adds impact to the song, sometimes it just sounds better. but it can be over done. I dont like it when they are swearing just for the sake of swearing and being "cool" because of it.

He said a lot of things he regrets back in the day & used to be so up his own ass.

Seems much more humble and down to earth now and they put on a great show at Download Festival. He must have thanked the crowd about 10 times and then got 2 members of the crowd to join him on stage. Also mentioned his friends in Korn and said he was excited for their show (as well as Faith No More).
