I only give rep when someone has been genuinly helpful, kind or funny which is what rep should be about. I never give it when people ask for it, it's just sad. Rep circles are also really pathetic imo.

Don't forget Admin Rep can be sneaky - we have the power to add on thousands of rep points if we so wish (not that we do, but it's the thought that counts) and it won't show up in your latest rep comments bit - you'll only notice it if you've kept tabs on how many points you have in the first place. So if you sign on one morning to find that you have 100 more points than yesterday, chances are it was staff intervention and not the result of crazy rep giving by regular members.

In a way, I guess. When the +rep smily came into effect my rep shot up a whole bar and I was sitting there going WTF???!!?!?!?!?! Steve gave me enough rep to bathe in for a month. Haven't gotten much since. Guessing because I have been a complete 360 addict.
